The fight isn't irrelevant, it's a good fight after 2 years of inactivity for Mayweather and the best chance for Marquez to secure a third fight with Pacquiao. If anything, Pacquiao fans should be glad this fight is happening, hasn't claims from Marquez and his fans bother the hell out of Pac?, if Marquez wins he gets the fight and all talks about Mayweather drown and if Mayweather wins the Marquez is out of the picture and all talks about him drown as well.

This fight makes it easier for Pac to decide who they will fight after Cotto. The step aside talk is after all the complaints from people about how this fight is not good enough. Look, you think Arum would push Cotto aside and take on Mayweather instead?, you must be crazy if you think so. That's why as soon as the Hatton fight was over Arum didn't bother and mention Mayweather, he immediately offered Pac tickets of Cotto/Clottey. Arum keeps it in his stable unless he doesn't have anyone to offer.

It's not bull**** if you know a thing or two about Arum. Arum keeps it in his stable and if he has more Cottos to offer Pacquiao after that fight is done he sure as hell will and come up with the most pathetic excuses about Mayweather or whoever else knowing the public would buy it simply because Mayweather is hated.

Roach is too overconfident, he thinks Pacquiao is better than he really is & IMHO is heading for a big reality check.

Mayweather beats Pacquiao, Im suprised Freddie cant see this as a world class coach, maybe love is blind afterall.

It's possible that Roach is getting cocky and overconfident. He may be under the impression that based on Pacquiao's last three performances that he cannot be beaten. However, Mayweather is not Diaz, De La Hoya, or Hatton and saying that he doesn't have the skills to beat Pacquiao is just assinine.

I'm calling it bull**** becausae I know that it won't happen at that point. PBF himself openly declared he won't deal with ARUM. Followed by I won't fight Pacquiao until he is his own boss.

Now tell me . . . if Floyd was being honest about that statement . . . he still slapped his own face. Which is which? :think

Floyd can't beat manny? Manny got 2 questionable decisions vs. marquez. I guess he thinks marquez is the better boxer

Floyd-JMM is a mismatch fight, a tune-up fight that's why Floyd can easily pay JMM some step aside money if PAC willing to be the replacement of JMM... You point out that it serves as an eliminator for PAC's next fight (after Cotto) but why Floyd has to go past JMM when he can directly fight PAC? Floyd has that chance before the PAC-Hatton fight just by saying he's ready to face the winner of PAC-Hatton but he didn't do it... Instead he's riding on the PAC-Hatton buzz by announcing his irrelevant fight with JMM just hours before the actual PAC-Hatton fight... What a shame...

I can't blame Arum for this PAC-Cotto in-house fight... PAC been slaying GBP boys for a long time now (including their boss) and Cotto also fighting worthy opponents from other stables... Why does people crucify Arum for this in-house PAC-Cotto fight and didn't do it during the Cotto-Margarito and Cotto-Clottey fights?? Those were TopRank in-house fights too...

Also PAC-JMM is a close chapter... It's a draw and a PAC win... If they will have a 3rd fight, I predict it will be a close fight again... If JMM wins then what, a 4th fight? If JMM loses again then you got to pity JMM for he will be sourgraping and crying robbery again and again...

Learn to read between the lines. Every statement in that article is intended to raise eyebrows. :D

Roach is simply HYPING UP the possible fight. He wants to **** off PBF and get into his nerve.

Roach must think he is the only person who knows what reverse psychology is? lLOL. The *******s just eat this **** up. Roach needs to focus more on what Manny can do to beat Cotto, because a fight with Floyd is going to be out of the picture after Manny gets KO'd by Miguel.
