How come Arreola wasn't complaining about the contract with Vitali?

Don King will be controlling Haye's next 3 fights minimum, should he take the title from Valuev as he's getting a a shot under a voluntary defense. No difference there.

Hence I am calling BS on Haye's "The Klitz are unfair" yelling. Why didn't he simply go with Valuev and say "I changed my mind on Vitali. I prefer Valuev now". Why did he have to add how the Klitz are greedy, terrible to negotiate with and were trying to enforce slave contracts? Haye did honestly think we boxing fans are too stupid to see through this?

    Yes.

And the sad thing is how very correct he is.

    Cheers.

Dunno how many will bother reading it though. More to the point, debating with fanatics is only gonna cause pain. I do my best to resist because it is so pointless.

I think the reality of what happened is

Haye is convinced he can beat Wlad but not so confident about Vitali so he accepts that contract.
The Setanta issue occurs and Haye has to find a new paymaster/tv contract so he asks for a delay.
Wlad, quite rightly as Haye himself said, won't wait so the Vitali fight is offered. The Valuev fight is then offered as well and is considered easier than Vit so Haye accepts.
More money. Less risk. It's not completely unreasonable is it.

There are fanatics on both sides. It's the ones who use personal insults and belittle their fighters opponent who are to be avoided.

I agree with the way you outlined it. But why is he now badmouthing the Klitz, saying how they are greedy, bad business men and are trying to enforce slave contracts.

That's just bad style on his part.

A simple "Folks I'm going with Valuev, I changed my mind. I lost interest in Vitali" would have looked far more professional than creating this smokescreen just to save his skin and hoping enough boxing fans are naive enough to swallow it without counting 2 + 2 together.

Sick of Haye...I don't wanna hear his mouth yapping anymore...at least not til he has a friggen fight. I doubt the Valuev fight will come through either. Oh well at least we have Arreola steppin up to the plate for what should be a decent title fight....I dunno why ppl would think Haye is more of a threat than Arreola...I don't see anythign in Haye that will pose a threat to either Klit

Have you considered the possibility that both camps have seen the potential of a fight or fights further down the line and the $$$ to be generated? I'm not suggesting they did from the beginning but it's not looking bad for all 3 fighters is it. There'll be more interest in all there fights now and Haye is starting to make the sports sections of the newspapers and radio news over here. The Klitschkos are getting more coverage as well.

There is a sliver of hope that it will all fall together. That we may have unification of the belts. That we may have a mega match... with Haye actually seen as a legit title holder and not an undeserving contender and easy victory for the Klits.
Then it may be a real mega-fight, not just a hyped up pretend mega-fight.

But there are so many factors at play.... I just don't see it happening. Yeah I will be happy if it does. Just like i would be happy to get a royal flush in poker.

Haye really have to show some serious win against Valuez - all the talking and
no backing it up makes me sick. If he canceles with Valuev too - then he shoud
be abandoned from HW boxing for at least a year.

HAYE, NO MORE TALK - JUST FIGHT. LETS SEE WHAT YOU'VE GOT.
