My first actual boxing experience was my family used to rent a house on the board walk every summer and we would stay out there the whole summer....

my dad took me to a james "bone-crusher" smith fight.... i dont even remember who he was fighting but that was one of my first boxing memories of mine.....

that mixed in with sitting up with my dad watching tyson fights....

then I would watch an occasional fight here and there... any major fight that got promoted pretty well.... but then I watched floyd fight and I could see the difference in skill level and I started trying to learn the sport inside and out .. rest was history

:DRelax. I started with Iron Mike I was pretty damn young back then. I have only see live fights by some of Euro bums. I mostly watch fights behind the Tv screen.
I think it all is because of Tyson.

Got in a street fight with a boxer. He broke my nose and closed both my eyes. He hit me around 30 time before I was able to finally hit him and Ko'd him. Made an impression on me (literally), so I joined a gym shortly after.

yea it kinda sucked, I remember going home and trying to use the handle of a spoon to shoved up my nose in order to try and push my nose back into place. My hand was broke as well from the 1 hit I landed on him. It was not fun at all. And then trying to explain to people that I actually won when I looked way that I did also very hard

The first time I started getting intrigued by boxing was when several co-workers were talking about how Tito Trinidad had beaten Oscar De La Hoya. I remember becoming interested and then I started following Oscar. I don't remember which fight I watched first but I do remember the first Oscar vs. Mosley fight was one of the biggest events I watched live. Ever since then I started following other fighters in other divisions to a point where I can name fighters from the minimum weights to the heavy weights. I also watch fights at Madison Square Garden and in Nicaragua whenever I can (I travel to Nicaragua a lot). My favorite fighters today are Roman Gonzalez (minimum weight), Juan Manuel Lopez (bantamweight), Youriorkis Gamboa (featherweight), Juan Diaz (light weight), Juan Manuel Marquez (light weight), Miguel Cotto (welterweight), Shane Mosley(welterweight), Jermain Taylor (middleweight), Librado Andrade (middleweight), Tomaz Adamek (cruiserweight), and Chris Arreola (heavyweight).
