    Get real for the people who thinks Cotto is confident.. its actually the other way around.. If he thinks he can beat pac no problem(which is how he should think because he is naturally bigger) then putting the belt at 145 should be way more than ok rather than being stripped without a fight.. Look at his statements lol.. Sounds to me like he already have a reason incase he loses.. *cough drained*

    You realise, it has nothing to do with confidence or not... it has to do with cotto not wanting to pay the santioning fee for a (worthless) title at a catchweight fight....

    seems to me all the people trying to bash cotto dont really know what their talking about.

    Cotto gave in the weight
    Cotto gave in the price
    Cotto gave in the location

    to make this fight happen.... please believe, the man is confident

    now the guy doesnt want to pay the sanctioning fee for a catchweight fight - in a fight that might i add NEEDS NO BELT... this is PAC vs COTTO... who gives a **** about belts besides roach?- its a badass fight that has nothing to do with belts and everyone should just be happy this fight was even made.

    the belt is worthless, as cotto is not the champion of the division, and theres no reason he should have to pay the fee to put his title on the line in a fight that HE CANT EVEN COME IN AT 147 IN.

    pretty elementary stuff imo

    i think its pretty sad that fans are even encouraging this, as if cottos title as any value or legitimacy at all :blood

    But he has a point! But on the same token, so you do. The fight is fair at 145 although Cotto will still hold the physical size and strenght advantage. At 147 it's not that much more but I think it's more of a psycological win for Cotto which is very important as well. All this is a negotiation tatic and pre fight jabs. It's typical.

    co-sign..put it perfect...if pac wants the belt than take the fight at 147...otherwise pac needs to shut his mouth and deal with what his signature gave him...thats 2lbs and a giant purse!

    Pac seems to be getting cocky since becoming "the official" number 1 and cotto will shut his mouth..if cotto don't than floyd will but either way pac gettin beat..

    hmm. call cotto's bluff and let cotto drop the belt. and then WBO should step in and say that the fight is for the vacant WBO belt.
