So, presumably, you feel you've "won" by proffering nothing bar empty rhetoric, right?

The list of fighters you mentioned wasn't even close when you talk of pure athleticism amongst unretired fighters. What about these guys? In terms of pure athleticism these guys rank higher than anybody on that list.....Amir Khan also deserves some consideration.

    • Roy Jones Junior
    • Gamboa
    • Jab Judah

Pacquiao and Gamboa stand out, for pure speed, explosiveness. Pacquiao because he's a proven 12 round fighter also.

Pacman, PBF, Gamboa for me. Quick twitch muscles, great reflexes, quick feet. All the traits of being naturally gifted athletes.

What do you mean exactly, its a very vague term....

I presume you mean who is the most physically talented all round guy? Stamina, speed, strength etc.....?

A good athlete can slow things down. Of course you want them to have as much speed, power, sense of timing, distance, balance, ect. - but physical control in direct partnership with all those things is what makes an athlete great. Precision, economy of movement, intelligence, grace, and beauty. Form is a major part of it. Dexterity. A true athlete is world class in virtually anything he commits himself to.

Not sure of the criteria: BUT

I would pick Pac-Man because he has moved up through the weights and his skills have developed with him along with the power to match his bigger oponents. He possesed the physical ability to evolve into a more complete athlete.

I think of Hatton moving to welterweight and then having to move back down. He couldn't match the skills of his bigger oponents when his physical size was overmatched, meaning he didnt possess the athletic ability to grow in skillset.

Hopkins evolving his style to limit his output but increase his acuracy shows great athletic intelligence and ability. Considering he is still P4P at 44 is testament to a pure athletic specimen.
