Calzaghe - Most Overrated Fighter

I don't think Calzaghe is overrated. He's a great fighter, with great handspeed, movement, chin, ring smarts and winning mentality, plus he and his team were careful and smart about his fights and when to make them. What he would do against top fighters in their prime is another thing, but we can't deny the guy is a great fighter.

That said, **** Calzaghe.

 

Calzaghe is a great fighter borderline HOF.

The problem is he never beat a TOp fighter at the top of his game.

Kessler was his biggest win, but Danish PAstry is hardly HOF material.


Calzaghe fans points to wins over Hopkins and Jones.

Wel Taylor beat Hopkins twice, I wouldnt fancy Taylor 2 go 12 with a prime Hopkins neither do I see Joe.

Jones got Kod 4 years previous to Calzaghe beating him and Joe did a less impressive Job than Tarver and Johnson....why not fight them ????

Norris beat Ray Leanoard....doesnt make him Ray

Berbick beat Ali...dont make him Ali

Comacho beat Sugar Ray....u honestly see that happening prime for prime.

Top class fighter.....HOF marketing to go with it

 

Before he beat Lacy, loads of people were saying Lacy would whip him.

He beat Hopkins and Jones, no matter how you look at it. It's a win in his record.

He was a Champion for a freakin' long time too.

Undefeated.

I don't know if I'd call someone like that "Most Overrated".

 

Slappy Joe makes slapping into a whole new level.

 

Calzaghe is a great fighter,i don't understand why are so many boxing fans hate on him,even if he is undefeated he never pretented to be the GOAT or better then Ali an SRR as Mayweather does.He is a fighter to be remembered, and i think he should get more respect for beeing champion and defending his titles for so long. I don't say he beat the best or fight the best but he did a great job in the boxing world.

i thought that 12 round ud by Khan over kotelnik was very reminiscent of Calzaghe at his best,
