I don't hate Golota at all. He is just very overrated by some people.
    Usually Polish people. lol

The man was given more title shots than any non-champion in history, and came up short in all of them. Even in his bid for the NABF title.:patsch

Well yes, David Tua can't box for ****.

Andrew Golota would use him as his heavybag had they fought back then.

When did I say that Golota sucks?:huh

David Tua is also overrated by many also though. His actual boxing skills leave a lot to be desired, and he never could solve a decent jab. Definitely a dangerous fighter, but one that could be managed.

David Tua is vastly overrated on ESB.

I don't think he would be a champion in any era of boxing.

In my mind, Tua's career can be split into two distinct entities.

When he was sitting on his #1 mandatory ranking prior to his fight with Lewis, he got out of shape, declined in skill, and was never the same.

Prior to that, Tua was once a very good fighter. After his first fight with Rahman, he became mediocre, and for a long time, people still remembered the Tua of old, and that is why I believe he is considered to be overrated.

well you made it sound like you did.

and dude, Prime David Tua would give Wladimir fits, so don't give me that either.

    Tua could Sander's him.

Thats why we need these shorter fast powerful guys back in the division like Tua or Tyson or Mercer(talking about a 96 Mercer). These types of styles are Wlads worst nightmares. Not these scared slower guys like Ibragimov, Rahman, Thompson... ^o)

Tua may be vastly overrated by a lot of people, but that again, who is Corrie Sanders? Not really that special.

No hate to Wlad or anything tho and the lack of opposition is not his really his fault... but lets see him fight somone like a Tua was in his prime. To bad not many fighters have that these days. All the Americans are fat.

We should probably hate Tua for that. That makes his knockout over Ruiz a very bittersweet moment.

Tua would not have given Wlad fits.

Wlad's jab alone could have beat Tua easily for 12 rounds. I am not joking... Wlad could not throw a right hand in the entire fight and beat David Tua. Personally... in a fight between the two I think Wlad would not only beat him, but stop him.

I said he could, and he could as well do a Sanders on him... But we can't tell that now...

Yes, but there is a good possibility of a PRIME Tua, Ruiz'ing him in the first like Sanders did...We can't tell now, if he can take that kinda fighter in a fight being there aren't any at all.. Shot Rahman, Sick Chagaev, and Mommas Boy Ibragimov aren't really that much comparable to a Prime Tua and Golota even...

But scince this topic is about Vitali I think prime Tua and Golota could have beaten Gomez and fat Peter.. .. But I think Vitali was all round more of a solid fighter than Wlad.

As long as you're sleeping with a Wladibear (teddy bear) you will not be able to speak sensibly. Golota beat Byrd and Ruiz and got no respect. When he handed Bowe his ass eveyone said Bowe was shot. Fact is, Bowe is shot but shot as a result of Golota's beatings. Watch Golota in Bowe I and you'll wish either Klit can move as fluidly as he did. Don't get me wrong I like the Klits but if prime Andrew's head was on right, he'd give either one hell and Lewis too, despite his embarrassing meltdown.
