Morrison don't got a better left hook then David Tua. Man i swear Tua is being very very underrated here in this forum. Back in his day, Tua was a beast knocking people out left and right until he met Ike in which it was one of the best heavyweight fights.

Tyson was much faster, but Morrison had one of the best left hooks back in the day.

Morrison's signature punch was his left hook. Tyson had better movement, skill and chin of course, but when it comes a left hook there are few the had a better one that morrison.

Yeah everyone here keeps forgetting that Tyson had great hooks but it was his uppercut that was his signature punch. Even in Mike Tyson's punchout it was the uppercut. He threw the hooks when he was swarming. I think that as time goes one everyone is giong to argue that tyson had the best jab, hook, streight right, etc. etc. in history but that is really just wishful thinking. He would tag oponents to the body with that right hook than come up stairs with an uppercut to stun them then he would swarm them. Thats what he did and he did it well all be it for a very short time.

Excuse me, hitting a guy like Ruddock who was a sitting duck isn't exactly proof of a great left hook. I am sure Morrison could puch a solid hook on the bag, but against a moving target it's a completely different ballgame.

Did it work for Tyson???? I remember Morrisons left hook putting Ruddock on ****ing ***** street when it landed flush. I remember tysons left hook in the 3rd round landing flush and knocking Ruddock down only because he was off ballance and him getting right back up.

Morrison was fragile but his left hook was monstrous. If you watch him in the early rounds before Ray Mercer caught him and knocked him out you can also see that he was also a good boxer.

I think a young Morrison would wreak havoc amongst most of the contendors in the division today.

I think you would have to be completly ignorant to the sport of boxing to say Tommy Morrison had a faster/better left hook than Mike Tyson. ****, Jeff Lacy has a better left hook than Tommy Morrison did.

Did Tyson's hook ever really hurt Ruddock? He shruged them off right and left.
