Not yet, no. Don't see them in the US that much in my experience, although I've seen some Canadians use them. I really want to try Lonsdale now that they're selling that in the US.

 

I have heard that the amateur competition gloves Adidas make are pretty good. If im not mistaken arent those the ones they use on international/olympic tournaments? Lonsdale i have never tried though.

 

Yeah, I have a buddy who just fought in Italy in a dual and they wore Adidas stuff.

 

On topic though does Winning have amateur competition gloves?

 

Not that I've ever seen, not in the US at least.

 

Reyes are wide in my experience - certainly wider than Everlast. Reyes make their own extra-thick wraps to compensate for the extra space when the glove is too big otherwise.

 

Lonsdale are ****

I've owned them both - Reyes training gloves in 14oz & 16oz, Grants in 16oz as well as their super bag glove.

grant are made for people with longer, more slender hands
reyes are made for people with shorter, stubbier fingers

almost every review i've ever read online agrees with me, that includes the boxing forum, the 'scene, sherdog, etc, etc, etc.

there's a difference between mexican market reyes and ringside reyes, but i've heard the situation with mexican market reyes is even more exaggerated.

If you're talking fight gloves that might be a different story, but when it comes to training gloves I know first hand what's what.

 

I hadn't heard that; thanks for posting that man! I didn't know that about their designs. I have longer hands myself, so maybe I'll try Grant sometime.

 

The price of those is ludicrous. I don't see a USA Boxing approved label on it and the closure system sucks. You can buy better, USA Boxing approved Ringside gloves that'll protect your wrists more for like 60 bucks.

 

Like you said for competition gloves, Everlast are nice. Funny you didnt like Grant i thought they were comfortable.
