P4p doesn't mean that you go up and down in weight to beat the hell out of everybody i think. For me it means that the fighter is the best compared to others if weight were equal. It is a theoretical scenario. I wouldn't take the meaning of it literally.

Most of us didn't give Pac a chance when he fought Oscar. We heard Roach saying that he was shot, etc., but Oscar was still favored to win. Then when Pac fights a helluva fight, then we pour in the excuses.

Tell me, which 135 lb fighter at that time could have given Oscar that beating?

Thank you that is the question I have been trying to get anwsered but no Pac fan can anwser it.:happy:happy:happy:happy All they keep saying is 2 pounds isn't anything then why are Roach and Pac making such a big deal of it. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the last few pounds the hardest to shed as well?

For a guy who made his debut @ 107 lbs this was a pretty special win as at the time De La Hoya was kicking around as world champion @ 135 , however i couldnt agree with you more on your other points !!!!

And i will add Oscar was a shell of the man he once was as we all know now !!!!!!!

Roach knew De La Hoya would be a punch bag for Manny @147 as he knows Morales would be a punch bag for Khan @140 he is a clever match maker .

But what really pisses me off is that as the P4P no1 in the world Manny has the power to call all the shots as the elite (Cotto , Mosley , Mayweather , Marquez etc etc) will chase the guy for a)the recognition and b) one big f*#k off pay day !!!!! , so im really rooting for Cotto to KO Manny to stop with all the catch weight bull **** and a defeat would de rail or slow down the Pacquiao express somewhat .

Guys, Emmanuel Dapidran P having the power of negitiation over a few fighters does not mean he can ask guys to fight at a catch weight. Pay day, glove type used, ring size etc...those are stipulations that are part of the negotiations. Not asking to fight a man at a catch weight, and to put his title on the line at a weight lower than his limit.

I agree that Marquez is great. He has given Pac hell in their 2 bouts. But don't you think that him being a counter puncher, couldn't batter Oscar the way Pac did?

Clearly you dont understand the art that is cutting weight , Cotto would walk around probably near 160 id imagine maybe more , in the last 3 days of a fighters build up its the hardest period to lose them few pounds , Ricky Hatton was on a resistance bike with a sweat suit on for 3 hours to lose 4 lbs for the Malinaggi fight !!!!!!

Cutting weight does not just consist of getting a hair cut or going for a **** !!!!!!

If you cannot lose the weight properly, then you have to cut weight. Cutting weight is not proper to do in boxing...if I'm understanding the use of the words 'cutting weight' which was called something different in my day. The boxers who train the hardest like the Floyd's and PAc's always come in looking 100% even if they aren't feeling 100%.

the truth about this is that cotto is the one who asked for 145 to be able to fight pac and get a payday cause he and his conditioning coach knows that its his limit and cant go any lower , pac was asking for fight to be at 143 but he still agreed for it be at 145.. so this is cottos catch weight not pacs.. and i believe that cotto shouldnt be forced to put title on the line..
about the oscar fight only a blind man wouldnt be able to see that osacar was past his prime and was totally shot( he has been for years now even before he fough flyod) its was still a great win for pac though cause of the prediction of most people in the boxing world, and it was a fight for the dollars.. pac was going up 2 weight classes from 135 where he only fought once.. these are facts

Oskie was 47..Borenard Hopkins gave him a beating but he never learnt his lesson. He keeped on fighting when he was clearly **** had the cajones to keep challenging p4p 1 elites like FLOY.It took a pac-man beat down to make him finally come to his senses. That it's time to go..
