Nicolino Locche was called by the late great Ray Arcel "The finest defensive fighter he'd ever seen" and I agree with him. I can only imagine how a fight between Locche and Pernell would turn out.

A bore fest for most people I think. I'm one of the few who likes the actual sweet science, but most want fireworks.

That post is filled with garbage.

    Pep's mediocre competition

Compubox also tell us that Floyd took over 200 shots from a fighter the calibre of Jose Luis Castillo..whereas Pernell took barely over 100 from legend like Azumah Nelson.
Silly way of judging a fighter as I dont really trust those numbers and quite often they dont tell the full story but if thats what you put your faith then Pea wins in that battle aswell.

first of all, castillo in his prime is a very good fighter. if u actually follow boxing than u would know this. also floyd tore his shoulder muscle and was fighting with basically one arm since 5th round. oh yea pep got great competition back then alright at a time where most fighter fights flat footed.

pea's defense are mostly show boating purposes. although good he just don't have the multi dimensional layed defense that floyd have. Guzman got a better standing defense than floyd but guzman doesn't have good of footwork. BTW you can barely find pep fights so cut ur bull like he fought 100 great fighters u stupid ******. and the ones u do see pep is backtracking like hell, and doesn't display multi dimension defense. back up ur **** up as an boxing expert.

if u have eyes u will know that floyd clearly doesn't get hit that much. and u contradict urself by dissing compute box and then in the same paragraph say that castillo landed 200 punches on floyd. You are clearly too dumb.

The guy in the black shorts is a beast! Talk about multi-layered defense. The resemblance to Floyd is uncanny!

I'm a fan of the bangerz. **** the bull****. Well, at least someone more like Morales. He had mad skillz and would still bang with the other guy. That's what I appreciate.

Thats ****ing stupid anyways, how can you win a round without throwing a punch. If youre not gonna get hit and your opponent's not gonna get hit, why bloody get in the ring. The sweet science is about hitting(first) and not getting hit.

Gans, Bennie Lenoard, Pep, Locche, Sweet Pea, Mayweather jr. (Just because I didn't like his uncle and father, don't mean I can't see someone good and just hate him because he's a loud mouthed trash talker.) Others, Slapsy Maxie Rosenbloom.
Of them Locche appears most hittable and sure wasn't, and that vs men who are much bigger with much longer reach.
Thank you for Locche the forgotten man.
