Margarito.

I picked Cotto to beat him, but felt worried about the pick because I didn't think Cotto was going to be able to hurt him and I wasn't completely convinced that Cotto's chin issues from his days at 140 were a thing of the past. Sure enough, Margo walks through Cotto's stuff and outlasts him.

Based on that performance and how bad Mosley looked against Mayorga, I didn't think Mosley had much of a chance, that Margo would grind him down bit by bit in the fight, and I said so a bunch of times. Being a Mosley fan, I thought going into that fight that I was going to watch an old favorite get hurt. And we all know what happened there.

****ing Margarito, I had a good streak going with predictions too until he ****ed it up.

 

I told my brotherinlaw and sister that Tony would be Shane's last big fight. I also said that here on ESB.

I know I'm not the only one to pick the Prince to KO Barrera!

 

Forgot that one. I remember Prince saying he would KTFO Barrera on an HBO interview. Then had his ace handed to him. How about the Full Nelson by Barrera.

 

Probably Vic Darchinyan.

Now in my defence, I predicted he would lose to Donaire and beat Arce - but I also predicted he would be handily outboxed by Kirilov and Mijares, would ko Z Gorres and would beat King Kong. I'm definitely wrong more often than not about Vic.

I also thought Naz would beat MAB - I felf particularly stupid after that.

Oh, I thought Valuev would lose to Donald and Lyakhovic too.

* Sanders was the first fight I watched of Wlad's after having heard his hype for a while - that wasn't so much my crow eaten there

* Calzaghe against Kessler - kept expecting Kessler to get to Joe; actually Hopkins also, esp. after the 1st rd KD

* Cotto against Clottey - still scored it for Clottey but all during the fight I felt like it was seconds away from a KO for Clottey and kept saying it to everyone I was watching with

* Vitali against Peter - seems stupid now but I thought the inactivity would subvert big brother Klit

* Paulie M. against Cotto - sure he lost but I expected and broadcast an easy KO but was impressed/surprised he survived. Seemed like Cotto felt sorry for him
