Andre Dirrell vs Carl Froch

I'm picking Dirrell but I'm not quite sure how good he really is. I would be much more confident in Froch losing if he was fighting Andre Ward.

 

I don't think Dirrell has enough to hurt Froch and I think he finds Dirrell eventually with a big shot. KO Froch sometime after 8

If JT can hurt Froch...So can Dirrell.


Kassim Ouma took Taylor's punches better than Froch did.

I love how people are saying that Dirrell is going to get KO'd on the first big punch Froch lands.

It just proves they havent watched Dirrells fights. He got caught big against both Hanshaw and Organov and wasnt wobbled. Dude has a good chin.

Without a doubt Froch with a stoppage in the mid rounds... Dirells style made for Froch ...easy easy easy .....

 

I've watched Froch since he was an amatuer. He's actually got decent handspeed, and a a lot of punches in his bag of tricks, BUT.......

The guy is an idiot, and just plods forwards looking for a brawl. His footwork is poor, and his reactions are a hell of a lot slower then they were 5 years ago, making his defence even worse.

I've only seen the last 5 or so fights of Dirrel's, and all of them were against bums and club fighters. He's fast, but I dont think he has what it takes to compete against the big names.

Froch by KO, within 5.

That actually sounds like good news for Dirrell because Froch's wild style will present even more counter punching opportunities.

Im picking Dirrell even though i dont think either of them are going far. Dirrell is far too open defensively but he is quicker than Froch and technically sound and that will be the difference imo.

Froch barely made it past Ko'd middleweight Taylor.

Corey Spinks took Taylor's shots better than Froch:rofl and he was KTFO by Zab Judah at WW.

 

Your the worst Dirrel nuthugger on this forum, its just weird.... Froch took loads of bombs from Taylor all night and didnt go down, it was only one shot and it didnt even really hurt him, he was composed straight after the KD. Pavlik got knocked down by the right punch from Taylor too and he has a decent chin, taking shots from monsterous punchers like Miranda easily.Pascal hits harder than JT and Carl took his best shots. Spinks is a very elusive fighter and Taylor didnt land a hard enough shot on him. Your arguments have nothing behind them.

 

Froch did the chicken dance, got up was still wobbly, and did nothing but hold for the rest of the round.

Sorry, but no matter how much you stupid Froch fans want to change history, Froch was seriously hurt by that punch. It was a flash kd. A flash kd is catching a fighter off balance. What happened to Froch is that he got caught by a big punch, staggered, then got hit again and went down.

100% true. But Dirrel is no counter puncher is he? Plus last time I looked not many fighters 'took it' to Taylor like Froch did. Attacking the man for taking heart based risks is kinda dumb.

Pavlik applied consistent pressure. Hopkins laid traps. Spinks boxed technically. Froch went for the big shot and got caught. Wow.

He then went on to box & wear Taylor down & no one except the utterly corrupt stateside judges had it 2 points up for Taylor by 12; that scoring was a ****ing joke. I showed that fight to people @ work and even the non boxing fans had it equal or froch 1 round up by 12. Not everyone is swayed by fast hands.

 

Ive always thought thats exactly what he is.
