    Lewis was often criticised for being too cautious in fights and against a prime Tyson I think that's the case in spades.

    Lewis had a better chin than most give him credit for but prime for prime he would have been clever enough to keep Tyson at bay until a points win or a late stoppage.

    Tyson would have been a lot more dangerous in the first half of the fight but Lennox had the size and the reach (and the caution) to keep him off.

    Lewis wasn't fully developed at the time of the McCall fight. He matured under Manny, that's very obvious. Lewis would never underestimate Tyson the way he underestimated Rahman. When he lost to Rahman in altitude without proper preparation, many lesser fighters could have beaten him. Just like Wlad's loss to Sanders or Louis' loss to Schmeling or many similar losses great fighters suffered, this doesn't mean much about the best version of these great fighters.

    If Douglas KO's Tyson, what would Lewis do to him? Ah, of course, Tyson didn't train right etc., etc. Same situation with the losses Lewis suffered. it is simply stupid to compare the best version of fighter A with a below - best version of fighter B.

    :-:)huh:rofl

    McCall caught him with the perfect punch while Lewis was attacking. As I stated, bad move and a tactic that wouldn't be adopted against Tyson. Show me a HW who's taken an equivelant punch to the one Lewis took and got up, I doubt you can, you might dig up 1 or 2 if lucky.

    The Lewis of the Rahman fight was in poor condition, using this to define Lewis's chin is like using the Holmes-Ali fight to define Ali's career ffs!!

    Lewis has a poor chin. What does his conditioning have to do with the fact that he got droped like he was shoot with a shotgun and could barely get up? Want to see a good chin? Watch round 6 of the first Tyson-Ruddock fights. Lewis would go down by every single one of those shot's Ruddock hit Tyson with. :deal

    If you think conditioning has no impact on the amount of shots you take, reaction time, movement, dehydration......

    Why am I even responding to you???

    Well that doesnt matter in the case of that fight as Lennox went down by one lousy shot not by a long period of taking brutal punishment (kind of like he gave to Tyson...he even hurt his hand on Iron Mike's jaw :yep ).

    Well I dont know why you are responding to me. Maybe beacuse this a forum aka a place for disscusions. :deal
    Cheers :thumbsup:hi::rasta

    Man stfu. I'm getting tired of STUPID people keep saying Lewis has a poor chin or a glass jaw. If Lewis has a poor chin then big punchers like Grant, Golata, Tua, Vitali, Holyfield, Tyson ( was past his prime but he can pack a dangerous punch), Prime Briggs, Rudduck, Morrison, Mavlovic, Mercer should all have ko Lewis so called poor chin correct? If i recall mostly all of those fighters i mention nail Lewis right on the chin and Lewis was never knockdown by those fighters but yet you want to be ******ed with this poor chin crap.
