Floyd is a bigger favorite over JMM than Oscar was over Pacquiao. That speaks volumes. Sure, Oscar looked like crap that night and seemed to have overtrained, but he shut out Forbes only a couple pounds north of 147 and held his own against Mayweather. In Marquez's last two fights, 8 or 9 pounds lower in weight, he had to come from behind to beat a one-dimentional offensive fighter and went life and death with a guy who looked like complete **** in his previous three fights.

I personally have Marquez ranked #2 in my P4P list based on resume, but forcing a guy who looked chubby and lethargic at lightweight to move up to welterweight is just silly. If Floyd comes out tough like he claims he will and he doesn't break his hand, he should knock out Marquez before the midpoint of the fight.

Oscar didn't look good vs. Forbes.

Even in the Mayweather fight.. it was clear that Oscar was an aging fighter.
Very different story to if a young Oscar (the kind we saw at 130, 135, 140 & 147-especially- was much different to this Oscar). Hell, the Oscar that fought Mayorga, was a much better, sharper fighter than the one that fought Floyd.. nevermind Forbes.. or the deadweight that fought Manny.

    Are people on crack?

Most experts thought Pacman would get KOed. As did most fans. How can PBF beating a guy who just moved up to LW 2 fights ago and doesn't have the muscular type of body to put on weight be a better win?

JMM will not be the #2 P4P fighter in the world at 144 lbs. People say "only" 9 lbs but the lower the weight you go, the bigger the deal it is. He could end up looking look DLH against Sturm.

Why vouldn't you ask PAc beating Hatton.
That was the bigger win than DLH. Sorry Floyd had help from a ring post to Hattons forehead.

IF Floyd dosent KO WMM and still wins on points.
It will be as if he lost.

    It's a no brainer.

It's Pac - Hoya, Before the bout everyone is laughing at Pac for taking this fight. Everyone sees it a waiting KO lost for Pac.

The shot, weight drained, old, and bum excuses just came because haters couldn't believe what they saw.

Not really a fair question since we have the benefit of hindsight for the Pac-DLH fight. Obviously now, Floyd over JMM would seem the better win considering what we saw from DLH and how bad he was that night. Pretty much everyone agrees that JMM won't look that bad coming up in weight.

It would be interesting how the voting would have gone if Pac-DLH had not happened yet either.

I voted for PBF over JMM.

If would have been a blowout. Only Divac and the Floyd nuthuggers would have voted for Mayweather-Marquez.

And I do disagree that Marquez won't look that bad coming up in weight. He looked significantly worse moving from 130 to 135, why wouldn't he look much worse moving from 135 to 143?

The more true comparison is whether Marquez beating Floyd would be a better victory than Pac beating Hoya, and there's no doubt in my mind that it would be. If Marquez can win, that pushes him to #1 on my P4P list.

dude, thats some heavy heavy bull****.

You could say that any fighter who loses the first round of a fight and then wins had to come from behind. The truth is that JMM gave Diaz 3 or 4 rounds at best. Its a 12 round fight not a 6 rounders. And you thought JMM went life and death with Casa? Really? Have you seen life and death fights?

JMM outclassed both Diaz and Casa. They aren't the best fighters but lets not make it look like JMM was in danger just cause he lost a few early rounds.

The problem with Pac is that against Oscar he was too good for his own good. He should have stood in front of Oscar and traded a little bit and let Oscar win a few rounds. He would be getting alot more credit.

You either have to consider these on how you felt before both fights, or after both fights. As JMM Vs PBF hasn't happend yet, I'll have to consider how I felt before both fights.

I'm 90% Floyd will win....and I was about 65% Oscar would win. So I say Pacs victory is better in that context. But I guess being the favourite doesn't make the win less special...Floyd would be the favourite whoever he fights at 140-147.

Pac would have been the favorite whoever he fought at 130, 135, or 140, but he went up to 147.

    Speak for yourself.

And yeah, after the fight, when PBF beats him, people are going to say that him jumping up in weight was a mistake.

Still laughing at people actually thinking that PBF beating JMM is better than Pacman beating DLH. What a joke.
