Cristobal Arreola: Ive never been into trash-talking. I respect the man and so well save all our trash-talking for the ring. Any man is beatable. If youve got two hands you can beat any man. He has a chin and I have a chin. It only takes one punch. Ive said it before: Were in the hurt game and one of us is going to get hurt. I just hope its not me. Hope Vitali doesnt kill me :|
At least he's honest. Don't think anyone expects him to win this fight, it's going to be Danny Williams or Samuel Peter all over again for Vitali, maybe earlier than those two.
Vitali is going to ****ing brutalize Arreola. It will be a massacre Arreola's style plays right into Vitali's hands. Arreola is an aggressor that plods his way in and walks his opponents down. Vitali though has a high workrate, throws from awkward angles, is accurate, hits like a mule, and has an adamantium chin. And Vitali isnt that easy to hit clean. Arreola's wide, telegraphed punches wont trouble him. Even if he gets caught with a few, it wont matter. There isnt a fighter alive that can hurt Vitali. If Lennox cant put him down, Arreola sure as hell wont. I expect Arreola to end up falling into a trap of getting hit with dozens of power punches and then he will try to duke it out and get KOed. Upon realizing that his aggression is for nothing and just results him getting hurt, Arreola will try to awkwardly backpedal, which he never does and is terrible at due to his girth and plodding footwork. At that point Vitali will just walk him around landing bombs and completely sapping his strength and heart.
Arreola would have been better off fighting Wladimir. Against Wladimir he would be outboxed and outclassed and be stopped with one or two clean right hands or left hooks. I think he would lose more rounds against Wladimir, probably every round, but the boxing clinic that he would suffer wouldnt be as physically damaging as having Vitali kick his ass. Against Vitali he wont be outboxed, rather he will be outmuscled, outpunched, and overpowered. And the stoppage will be him on his knees after getting clubbed and combo'ed and bashed into a corner.
I like Arreola and enjoy his fights but he has to get his weight back to the 230's to have any chance at all to win this fight. If he could get in shape, he has the power and aggression to trouble Vitali, who's slowing down a little bit.
Yeah, caught that "I hope" comment. Could be he said it in a jokey way, but even then I don't think it's something any fighter that truly believes he can win would be bandying around.
Yeah, and Vitali said- "Please don’t hit me so hard. I’m 10 years older than you". So if we're going to interpret what Chris said at the most literal meaning we should do the same for him.
Vitali said I'm old and I will whoop your ass like I did to Samuel Peter and Carlos Gomez. Bit of a difference :yep
Arreola doesn't sound over-confident but that's where the big danger for Vitali arises. A commited fighter will never fight with his mouth and create non-realistic expectations... So be prepared to see always full commited Arreola head hunting Vitali and Vitali the first to take a small step back and use a defensive left range-finder. I don't think Christobal can do it with the necessary timing, body movement and defensive moves... But he surely can dig in some very hard punches on Vitali, keep up a hard pace with his older opponent and keep getting up to catch his man with that one punch...
I respect Big Burrito's humility. But he is definitely gonna need to make lots of meaningful prayers to pull the upset against Klitschko.
Arreola is a fat **** who cant fight. Christ Travis Walker had him in fits. Vit Klit is going to beat the **** out of him.
They wanna hit 245, don't think it will happen. That's the only way he can compete with Vitali. Or, it will be Sam Peter all over again. I think he will at least give a better performance than Peter. Arreola always has a puncher's chance, but, THAT IS IT.
