I remember creating a topic that Lucian Bute and Andre Dirrell would beat the **** out of Paul Williams (which everyone agreed) and I said that Williams fans go overboard, of course they deny it, and insulted me to death. I think this topic is proof of this.

Paul without a doubt. He's a harder puncher where Joe is more of a flashy puncher. More speed and more flash. Paul is a harder puncher who is more consistant. Joe is a more talented and faster puncher.

Huh? Joe's not more skilled than Paul. They are both VERY skilled. They just have different styles and talent levels. Joe's talent is above MOST in the sport. But skills are on level with one anther. Joe doesn't hit harder. Due to size comparing pears to apples then you'd be right. But read the thread...."in their divisions" Not who hits hard regardless or not taking their divisions into consideration. Joe flurries more, has flash but doesn't sit down on his shots as much as Paul.

Talented and Calzhage don't belong in the same sentence.

Williams punches harder for his DIVISION than Joe does is his DIVISION.

Why is that so hard to fathom??????????

    BTW

Joe is not more skilled than Williams..that's a joke.

Well...you can't deny the man is one of the most talented fighters this generation. He's got a lot of natrual gifts that most don't enjoy. He's athletic, fast, great reflexes and on top of that his skills are top notch. Unfortunately he wasted his best years fighting non descript opposition and waited until the best fighters of his era were all but old, shot or both before really stepping up to test the talent he most certainly has.

Paul is under rated, Joe is over rated with the skills. Joe is so good based on his talent level. Paul is so good b/c he's a freak of nature in terms of his stamina and work rate. But his skills are very good and his style of fighters enhances those skills.

Calzaghe in his early days by far.
