If all he cared about was money, why is he retiring now? He could make some serious smackers before he finally gets beaten.

His hands are **** now and if you can't see that you are blind. Let the guy retire and enjoy his family and money he earned it. The guy had been Boxing since he was like 10 years old.

The hilarious thing is if Calzaghe had not stepped off the gas and started clowning he would have KOed Jones even with those fragile hands of his.

Calzaghe retired with his dignity while Jones is still having to fight against people like Sheika, Lacy etc. That is pitiful. Nobody gives a **** about Roy Jones the guy is irrelevant in Boxing today.

He isn't retiring now, he retired nine months ago. And there aren't the money fights available. Calzaghe made $10 million from fighting Jones. Who would he fight? Chad Dawson, who sold a few hundred tickets fighting Tarver in Vegas?

He made enough money to never have to work again. He has a family.
And his heart just was not in it anymore.
He achieved what he wanted to and got out with his brain intact.
He would be fighting in to his 50s to keep everyone happy. There is always a new kid on the block so when does it stop.
He made a wise decision to quit when he did.
If only the likes of Roy had the brains to do the same.
Every fight he takes now just tarnishes his legacy.
It was no secret that Joe would quit after the Jones fight.
And i respect him for staying quit. There are enough fighters who dont know when to quit and they just end up looking stupid and doing damage to themselves.

Funny how you can make excuses for Calzaghe and totally dog Roy Jones, your agendas are pretty clear.

Ya its weird as well, he seems to hate Jones because of the same sort of reasons that people dislike Calzaghe. For not making the big fights and taking easy defenses.

    Pay no heed to Rico.

He's like RedRooster with Sugar Ray Leonard, or Dinamita with Calzaghe.

Can't change his mind and won't change the subject.

(Except when he discusses jaws :yep)

    DINAMITA is no more.
We just have to work out which one of his 47 aliases he is using. WHAT A ****.

what excuses am I making for Calzaghe? He made Jones look like a complete joke. Embarrassed and humiliated him. There are no excuses to make.

Do you mean the excuse that Jones lost 25 pounds of muscle after the Ruiz farce? It was more like 10 pounds and not all of it was muscle. That is an excuse.:rofl

I cant remember any fighter dropping 2 weight divisions and being succesful. Jones managed it in the interim with a narrow win over Tarver (something Joe would have struggled moving up weight).

You seem to have sympathies for some fighters and give none to others... Like Joe's hands, Roy has had hand trouble his whole career. But since it is Roy you think it is an excuse or doesn't matter.

I try not to disrespect any fighter, your blatant disrespect to some fighters is disgrace. They could all kick your ass!
