    Behonest.

I know that dummy Rico had it 120-108 for Tarver. For me first off it was a very good fight. I honestly thought Roy Jones clearly won the fight 116-112. All Tarver did was flurries for some of the rounds like 20 or 30 seconds while Roy was more busier by throwing punches and was landing punches. When it was middle of the ring, Tarver did absolutely nothing. After the 12th round was over, Tarver act like he really won the fight. Also in that fight shows Jones was clearly killing himself to make weight in which he had to lose 20 pounds of muscle. I notice when Jones was coming to the ring, his eyes and along with the body look like he was weak.

I had it even until the final two rounds which I gave to Roy Jones. 115-113, Tarver was bragging about not having his big lips busted, I bet his body sure did hurt...... Roy's main assault was to the body, had some shots in there that made Tarver wince and stopped him from coming forward.

Roy said before the fight that the weight draining was alot harder than he thought and he was only a 7 out of 10... I thought he was more like 5 out of 10. He was tired at the end of the first round, I had never seen Roy like that.

Yea man you can tell easily around the 1st round that Roy was breathing hard.

:good 100% agree, Tarver did nothing in the middle of the ring and saved all his activity for when Roy was on the ropes, and it just wasn't enough.

I was cheering for Tarver but thought Roy won. Tarver tried to win every round in the final seconds. I think the only reason people think that Tarver won is because it was the first time Roy had been tested.

    Roy won.

Fights are not scored on how big you win the rounds that you won, and numerically Tarver lost most rounds albeit he won the rounds he win big/bigger.

Bottom line he had no one to blame but himself, he had spells of inactivity when he had the chance to take over, he let Roy back in and he swept the last few rounds to win the fight.

I clearly had Roy winning rounds 1,3,4,5,6,9,11 and 12 which is the same score as yours and I agree with your whole post.. Like someone else said people were just not use to seeing Roy get hit the way he was in small spurts by Tarver.. Whoever scored that fight for Tarver is a clear hater. There's no argument for Tarver winning that fight in my opinion. U can barely give him 5 rounds and I can't see that... Roy should have never even fought him again winning 8 rounds like that. Wish he had of went to Cruiserweight instead..

i had it 8-4 for roy the first time, the second time i think i scored it for him 7-5 which is as generous as you could POSSIBLY be for tarver. same as above posts: tarver did nothing in the middle, did some very good work on the ropes but was never consistent. jones landed the more frequent, crisper blows and clearly won more rounds.

Roy Won without a doubt, and I just watched a replay on ESPN Classic. Going into the 7th Round, the only round I could give Tarver Convincingly was the second round. He came on the late rounds, but wasn't busy enough. He would get Jones in the corner, throw a fury of punches-which were 50/50 blocked by Jones and would just than go on Stand by mode-Tarver wouldn't follow it up. In the middle of the Ring, which the fight took place mostly, Jones clearly beat him to the punch.

Had a Hatton-Collazo or Cotto-Clottey feel to it in the end...I scored it for one man, and have always ended up scoring the fight that way but felt the other guy was the better fighter on the night. If the fight was condensed into one round Id give in 10-9 to Tarver but because boxing isnt scored that way Roy got away with a close but relatively clear decision IMO.

Roy looked like he was going through chemotherapy that night.

    9-3 is scandalous.
