Pacquiao vs Castillo

It's not even that, it's that you *******s have a tendency to disrespect these fighters who are great warriors, just to up your man.

 

headbutt cuts... i thought it was sloppy fight and very sloppy with pacquiao...

but in the bigger picture of things it really taught pacquiao to have more discipline.. Sometimes you have to lose to get better...

In the morales pacquiao triology.... morales was knocked down 5 times.... pacquiao 0.... masterpiece...

 

Lol, or as i get more familiarized witht he fact that you would pick Castillo no matter what..right, speed doesnt always kill. However, and this is coming from a huge Castillo fan, Pacs punches are hard enough to at least sting if not hurt Castillo. Castillo liked to fight on the inside, Pac would make it a brawl. I think based on how slow of a starter Castillo was, Pac would dominate early, Castillo would have some success in the middle, and it would be an all out war at the end. I think with the early lead and some close rounds in the middle and end, Pac would get the split, possibly unanimous decision. I think Morales would have beaten castillo as well.

A prime Castillo had never been KO'ed. Corrales came the closest by having him out on his feet. Pac couldnt KO Morales in their first fight, what makes you think he's gonna KO Castillo?

 

Prime Pac has never been KO'd and he's never lost a round...well not yet.

Pac has yet to prove that he can consistently fight off the back foot. When fighters force Manny to back away and to become hesitant he get's dominated in those instances. If Castillo allowed him to come forward the full fight then he would be defeated. But, I can't see Manny consistently forcing a strong and durable guy like Castillo to back away and counter punch, though Castillo IMO had the ability to be an effective counter puncher. It's a matter of who is able to implement there game plan the earliest and set a rhythm. Castillo would have to impose himself forcing Pac backwards where he would be ineffective, because (1) he doesn't circle to his right and utilize angles effectively enough to counter and stop Castillo's onslaught (2) he doesn't possess an effective, scoring jab (used more as a range finder) to upset Castillo's rhythm and timing. In order for Pac to win he would simply have to be Pac, using his awkward movement and high energy to keep Castillo at bay and force him to play the counter punching role. I can't really make a call as Pac has only had one fight at the weight, but Castillo was known to have slow starts which could possibly put him in jeopardy in this matchup. Can't quite call it.

 

come on, you're not giving erik NEARLY enough credit for that first win. he was brilliant, neutralizing pac s weapons and controlling the fight for a distance. and then in the last round proved he could trade with him.

pac absolutely got the better of him in the next two but the first in the best fight and a display of morales at his best (and his final great performance)

 

JLC would have been all wrong for Pac. JLC is a big and strong LW who was a great pressure fighter who could cut off the ring and get inside working behind a educated jab and work his magic. In his prime he was a beast and had an iron chin and was the best body puncher in the game. I see JLC beating Pac up on the inside banging away to his body and wearing him down possibly stopping him late. Pac's inability to fight on the inside would be his downfall in this fight.

Pac ain't knocking out Castillo.

If the judges are watching Castillo's body work as opposed to Pac's flopping hair and mustache... lol J/K

That said, I'd lean towards whoever the networks are behind.

*******s dont use logic. All praise be Pac and then backwards rationalize everything else to make Pac look better. Pac and masterpiece are kind of an oxymoron. A masterpiece is what Hopkins did to Pavlik.
