Yes. An example needs to be made. Boxing is dangerous enough. Using plaster in a fight to gain an extra edge increases the chances of ending a career and/or a life. It's not like baseball where if used a cork filled bat you hit an extra couple homers, boxing aint a game.

He's the lowest of the low.
How can he claim he was unaware of what was going on?
His 'w' over Cotto MUST be overturned.

he ddidn't know cuz the questionable substance was slipped into the pad. I questioned the same thing.

Didn't Alexis Arquello wrap his own fists? Maybe boxers should do the same nowdays, so they can be completely responsible for their wrappings.

In Western Civilization you should be proven guilty, not innocent. Margarito's trainer was caught TRYING TO CHEAT, there's absolutely no real evidence of Tony actually cheating before and then again, he doesn't have to prove his innocence, others have to prove he's guilty in other fights. He stepped into the Mosley fight clean.

Mosley, Jones, Toney and others from all around the world were proven guilty by hard evidence (court testimony, B-sample), yet I don't see "BAN THEM FOREVER  " threads, Mosley didn't even got disqualified for his cheating, fake, opponent health risking performance.

People shouldn't judge too quickly or if you judge, at least be unbiased and judge other cheaters as well. That's a lesson you guys should learn.

If it's proven that he knew and he had tarnished Cotto's career by cheating, then YES. Problem is, all we can do is take the mans word for it and that's troubling. He shouldn't get banned for life without proof, but with proof, YES. It bothers me cause I was really rooting for him and I wish I knew the facts. We just don't know. We do know he wil be closely watched in the future and luckily no one got killed or blinded.

Cotto can't even keep Tony off him...much less retire him.

    No.

And I still say he will beat Cotto again. Its not like he plastered his chin or anything, Cotto couldn't hurt him, got worn out and discouraged.

No. I think the suspension should be longer though. Some boxers easily take a year off between fights. If he's allowed to fight again, they should make it mandatory for his opponents to wear plaster of paris, to get a taste of his own medicine. :yep

No. Why the double standard? Tito's wraps are not mentioned. How about Mosley's steroids? Roid Jones' steroids?, etc.?

Let him rematch Cotto, get his ass whooped, then ban that *****. That way Cotto gets his revenge and Margacheato gets what he deserves.
