When you have a judge that scores that fight 118-110 it's pretty easy to see why Paulie would be upset. That scorecard was a foregone conclusion so all Diaz really had to do was win one of the other two. Not exactly a tall order considering that the fight was in Juan's hometown. Glen Hamada actually had Michael Katsidis beating Diaz last year in a fight that Diaz clearly won. I don't know what fight he was watching that night but it was rather surprising to see him not only score against the hometown fighter but to do so in a fight that he won handily. Now I'm not trying to justify a bad scorecard but you gotta admit that the guy has a pair to go against the house fighter and the company like that.
Close fight but I felt Paulie did his job at controlling pace and space for much of the fight. I had him winning by a slim margin. His post fight rant however is what won me over as a more respecting fan of his.
look i talked to some mexican friends of mine who watched the fight as well, and were die hard diaz supporters and they admitted to me they thought paulie edged him.....
