I agree, that right hook to the body then right uppercut KO he had (I can't remember who it was against) was one of my favorite KO's of all time.
Jones 1-2 against Reggie Johnson it was all in the blink of an eye the speed, the power the fluidity of it was amazing. No one could do that like Roy.
Dammit that was going to be my choice ! if memory serves there was a left uppercut half a second before it which lifted Dannys head right into the line of fire. I'm no fan but the Brothers K can throw a straight pretty ****ing well.
IMO, 1-2 combination is left jab right hand, the classic one. If I rememeber correctly, Lewisi threw a left hook right hand combination. Foreman over Moorer comes to my mind. Also, Hearns scored several KOs with the 1-2 combination.
If only Ruiz had fought that way against Holyfield, Golota, Rahman, and Oquendo he would've had a lot more respect at HW. I don't doubt Ruiz upsetting anyone to win back another HW title, and fans shouldn't be upset about it if he does, Ruiz has an entertaining style now and good KO power. Ruiz was an accomplished amateur afterall, he had skills for sure.
actually it was uppercut to the body, Williams drops his hands, uppercut to the head, William's head pops up, one step back, 1-2, timber This content is protected
RJ's knockdown of Reggie Johnson in round 3. Fastest combination in boxing history. It was literally mind boggling how fast it was.
What amazes me about Roy was how quick his feet and coordination was he closed the distance before you could even blink or think about blocking. That dude was something else.
Thats why i get so annoyed at people on here comparing hayes speed to RJJ people dont seem to remember how good a prime RJJ was...
Not so much a combination but Jones Jr's flurry on Toney was ****ing AWESOME. I've never seen anything like that, it was brilliant.
lol nice one ! that whole fight was a beating but what a finish , Williams was just hanging there waiting for it.....chilling !
