    Dean Francis.

Injury and an inability to control his temper both conspired to take away his best years - years when he could so easily have been a 'world' champion.

I know he achieved a lot already but felix trinidad was about to become probably the greatest of our time until he ran into hopkins. He was going up in weight and beating the best. Camacho-whitaker-carr-delahoya-vargas-joppy. All he needed was a win against b-hop and he becomes the greatest in our era at least.

Manny Pacquiao if he had been trained by a great trainer from the outset and had acquired experience in the amateur ranks

this may sound crazy but i think ruben olivares was somewhat of an underachiever because of his lackluster training habits and his binge drinking episodes. although he was a bantamweight and featherweight champion he didn't make very many defenses probably because of poor conditioning. if he would have taken boxing alot more serious then he did he could have accomplished much more.
