He walked around without his gloves and just his wraps on shaking hands after the fight so I doubt it although much stranger things have occured.

    I agree, it's something we'll never know.

It's unbelievable how ridiculous people are when they say things like "it's irrelevant because he walked through Cotto's shots", as if getting hit with a guy with harder blows has no possibility of affecting the way a boxer may react or how his body will react.

But that doesn't mean Cotto would win in a fair fight it Margarito did in fact load up. Maybe Cotto still can't take the shots well enough, gets tired, and gets busted up.

He's gotten marked up and fatigued in other fights too.

Why are people in this thread using the "evidence" excuse. The thread starter didnt ask "do you have proof that Margo cheated against Miguel" or "Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Margo cheated against Cotto"...it asked what we think. Its an opinion, noone here is claiming to factually know (and if they are on either side, yes OR no, they are either biased or pretty ****ing full of themselves).

What do I think? I think he has been doing it for most of his career. Not just against Cotto, or against Mosely. Hell, maybe even all of it. Noone believes McGwire juiced for just his 70 hr season...even tho we dont even have substantial proof he did in ANY season. The reason? Normally, when someone decides to bend the rules, be it steroids, loading gloves, scuffing a ball, stealing signs, etc...its not just a "one time thing". Its a calculated thing. This to me seems like that.

I remember his power starting to effect Williams late in their fight...much like it did against Cotto...much like what would happen if it were what most of us believe it was. How many other fights did this happen in? Noone knows...noone ever will unless someone comes out and admits fault...but all we can and do have is our own opinions. Mine, like many who have posted in here is just that. He tried to cheat against Mosely and he did cheat against Cotto...as well as many or all of his previous fights.

Again, I have no proof...noone does. What I have is what I think...which was the original question in the first place.

There is no proof that he cheated, so my answer is no.

Do you believe Mark McGwire used steroids? He never failed a test. The question wasnt "can you prove it", its what do you think.

IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IF HE DID OR DID'NT

THE TRUTH IS MARGO HAS COTTO'S NUMBER END OF STORY:deal

Tony just broke miguels heart mentally and phisically
he was bigger stronger and tougher and cotto was terrified for
the first time in his carrer and did'nt know what to do in there!!!!!!
LOADED or UN LOADED would be the same result
tony is not a BIG ONE PUNCHER anyway he just relentlessly keeps attacking and thats what miguel can't handle
miguel likes to fight in his own rythum and if you take him out of that he doesn't like it. he was in serious trouble of torres a small JWW who keopt at cotto luckily miguel survived but he was nearly out on his feet
think about the size of torres then think of the size of maragarito
a MASSIVE WW who walks through all of your punches without blinking
    and through constant punches???
MIGUELS ARSE WAS GOING COCONUT / GRAPE in the ring
as he knew there was nothing he could do
HE MENTALLY QUIT against Tony that night .....all he had to do if he was
thinking was hold or run for two rounds and he may have won the fight
but he just wanted out of there:deal

If they ever fight again SAME RESULT!!!!!

So if his gloves were loaded...which is the very thing we are debating here...that wouldnt help lead to him "breaking Cotto's will"? Harder, more powerful shots...the ability to cut and damage a fighter faster and more effectively wouldnt aide in him "having his number"?

Listen, I picked Tony against Cotto. I figured that his chin and his relentless style and high workrate would wear Miguel down. But you cant say that if he did in fact do it that "IT WOULDNT REALLY MATTER". I mean, common sense tells us that it definately wouldve.

Actually the federal government has a list of known steroid users, and mcgwire did test positive before the mlb had a steroid policy in place......like i said I have my suspicions, but I for one like to give people the benefit of the doubt untill proven otherwise...

Probably. He had more of a motive to cheat against Cotto so logic says he most likely did.

ACTUALLY, his name has not been mentioned...not in the Mitchell Report, or in any of the names linked to the 03 testings. So no, he hasnt tested positive yet, at least to anyones knowledge that is.

Do I think he did...HELL YES! Is there proof...umm, no. In fact, you are doing what you are saying you would not do.
