I think Basilio would either win a comfortable UD over 12 or a late KO over 15.

Did anyone read the funny story a few years ago about Carmen and Felix Trinidad? It was in one of the boxing magazines and I can't remember which one. Apparently Basilio was staying in a hotel a few years ago and had gone to bed. In the rooms above him there was a constant commotion going on keeping Carmen awake. He called the main desk and complained about it however the noise continued. Carmen had taken all that he could stand and got dressed and went upstairs and knocked on the door of the guilty party. When they answered , the 70 yr old Basilio told them that if they didn't knock it off and quiet down he was going to kick their ass!! He then went back down to his room and was able to enjoy peace and quiet and get a good night's sleep. The next morning Carmen told some folks about the loud partying that was keeping him awake. The people asked Basilio if he knew who he had spoken so harshly to the night before. When they told him that it was the current welterweight champion of the world who at that time was Felix Trinidad, Carmen said that he didn't care and that he still would have kicked his ass!

In a mythical matchup I would bet on Carmen Basilio to do just that!

    I'd take Trinidad by TKO.

I think thats unlikely..even if Tito wins.

Carmen was a tough mofo....It took two drawn out wars with Fullmer late in his career before somebody stopped Basilio...stoppages that he protested vehemently.
