Can anyone do a review on the Everlast lo-top boxing shoes? Wanted to get them but want to make sure they are durable enough to take a strong beating from constant training.
JOT I never use boxing boots for training, normally not as long lasting as normal trainers. I used to have a pair just for sparrring but it took ages to put them on so i just used trainers also the price is alot more than trainers
in the club - shoes - everlast lows, the $60 ones, blue (1st pair), great shoes, just got a big ass rip after about 9 months of 5 day a week use.. nike something white and black low, think they are wrestling shoes, around $60-$70 (2nd pair), more comfortable, durable, not as responsive though or as much feel, had them about a year and a half, still good, havent been in the club as much... Next time going back to everlast... Any other opinions? How are the adidas? A lot of the cats where those.. gloves- red, everlast pro trainers (sparring gloves, 16 oz.) not the new protex, would love to try those though, anyone use them? They lasted for about a year until I felt I needed new ones, used them for everything.. 2nd pair identical except white, love those gloves... Any one use Grants, they feel nice, how do they last? ringside foul protector, only wear that if we plan on bangin', does the job i guess, not real comfortable though.. i actually hate wearing that ****, but some people cant help to foul sometimes.. LOL. Headgear - Everlast, leather, suede inside, with cheek protectors.... its been good, pretty light and easy to see in, think the Grant I tried had a lot more padding, but was heavier.. Might go Grant next time, not sure though..
I loved em man.. Felt real good in the ring, grip, light as hell, responsive.. Got a big rip between the bottom part and top after about 9 months.. I still where them once in a while though, because the Nike wrestling shoes arent as responsive and light... Hope that helps.
The gloves did feel damn good, hows the headgear? No money for that brand now, but if I could Id think about going that way..
So there about the same cost as everlast, etc.. I might try to get a pair of those Lonsdales.. Wonder if you can get them in the US? Grew up on a street called Lonsdale so would be kind of cool...
I've looked all over for them in the US. The only way your going to get them is to order it off of E-bay, otherwise most shops in UK want $35 in shipping so it puts the shoes over $100 in total. I'm gonna take your guys word for it though and get a pair of the everlast.
Hey guys, which speedbag should I buy. Something legit not Everlast type crap. I want to be able to put it on the wall in my garage though. Preferably with adjustable height.

New here, but here is my contribution My coach hustled me into buying these. Title Classic Boxing Gloves 14oz http://store.titleboxing.com/title-classic-boxing-gloves.html Really more like bag gloves but my coach hustled me into buying these. And I needed gloves badly, because the ones I am about to review next got stolen. It has adequate padding for sparring. But that is for kickboxing; when much more punches are thrown I would feel much better about using 16oz gloves. These don't come in 16oz. They last better than everlast gloves in its price range but they are already wearing. In about a month I don't think I can spar in them anymore. (I spar once a week)
Maybe you guys have heard of Karate master Barry Stephen. Very accomplished in various kickboxing leagues and been around the scene for a very long time. He started this line of gear and Bas Rutten endorses them. These are supposed to be their bag gloves and I can't imagine how nice their pro series gloves are going to be. The leather feels very plush and soft. The padding is VERY nice. You will know the first moment you run your fingers over it. Completely suitable for sparring. And it keeps its form for a long time also. Mine were 16 oz. I sparred with them every week and sometimes used them on the bags. I used them for a good 6-7 months before they got stolen. The last time I used them (gawd I miss 'em) they felt like they were 2 weeks old. The only gripes I have about them are that the velcro is pretty strong and if you end up rubbing them against your partner it'll leave a nice rash. I really can't believe these guys are under 50 bucks. Go get 'em!
