In my mind this is not about whether or not Josh can beat this kid. It's about YOU making sure he goes into every fight properly prepared, and YOU making sure the risk/reward ratio is always right.

Judging from that little bit of video, I'd say a fighter who can stay behind a good, quick, stiff jab, and cut off the ring, would hand that kid his ass. However, 2 weeks is NEVER enough time to properly prepare, especially not when you have to travel,, and the risk/reward ratio is all wrong!

its not chery picking to be smart and not take a fight at short notice...unless its a gift to a fighter who wont have that chance again.

my GUESS is they(challengers) want this fight because the challenger is clearly a mover and freddy's guy isn't, so they figure they can take a points win.

thats my first impression after seeing them both fight.

josh made 900 on saturday in a 4 rounder, i dont think it's worth it to risk part of his career for 1100 bucks...i mean, the guy still gets paid through the army, and is going to school.....

i just dont want coach thinking i'm stepping on his toes...cause ultimately, he makes the decisions...

Short notice, against another prospect in his home country? Unless your boy needs the payday, it's probably not the best idea to turn him into a short notice journeyman this early in his career. In Puerto Rico, he'd need a knockout to win. Then again, all of your boy's wins are by TKO, and this other guy is a lot smaller than he is, so maybe you can get that knockout. Won't get any help from the ref though.

Well are you confident that he could knock him out?

To me that would be the difference. CAN we knock this guy out? Do you trust yer boy's power to get the job done?

Don't put him in with a Puerto Rican, unless you want him to lose.
