Is this card televised in Oz? If so, on what?

Meehan better get his career going again, he is up there in age, waiting for the WBA belt shot for too long and Valuev has avoided the fight too many times. DKP has screwed him over for too long as well.

This fight with Hoppa is a good option, could be lucrative for both, only that they should stage it as main event in Australia in a separate card, with the winners of both fights meeting up next.

I heard through the grapevine that there is no way that Hoppa is going to take this fight because he knows that he can't win and can't afford another loss, but that's just what I hear.

Hoppa has a chance of knocking out Meehan early, he starts fast and Meehan isnt the best in those circumstances , viz Danny Williams and Rahman. Meehan should knock him out eventually thogh I reckon, would be a good fight to see

Full marks to Hoppa if he wants that fight. But Meehan would own him.

Both have been similarly inactive. But could be a great match-up, and hopefully last longer than Meehan v Rahman I (Rahman by TKO4).

Meehan better drop this talk about what's to risk - what's to gain, Hoppa wants to get paid, simple as that, he already proved that against McCall so Meehan can just forget about lowballing him bc he is aware that he is the clear underdog going in.

Thing is this fight makes more sense for Meehan now than it makes for Hoppa, although both can benefit. Meehan is still living off his win against TOS, but that was 2 years ago, he's got to move on with his career and this fight is just right for the first step.

Meehan should offer Hoppa 45%-50% of the purse and get it donne. It still should be a nice payday.

by all reports meehan can't get any reasonable names to step into the ring with him. they see him as a bit too risky. and if the title holders won't fight him even when he is ranked no.1 and been vocal about being ready to fight for the title, then i don't know what he should do.
if he fights the journeymen he gets criticised for that too.

i think he just needs to take the david haye approach and bag the crap out of some of these guys publicaly until they crack and agree to fight him.

    thoughts?
