Mayweather has all the advantages in the Marquez fight whereas Cotto only has the size advantage. Mayweather is

    younger
    less battle worn
    faster (both hands and feet)
    larger
    a bigger puncer
    more experienced at higher weights
    better defensivly

I can't really think of a singe advantage that Marquez has and in his recent fights he has struggled with lesser fighters while Pacquiao has anihalated his opponents. Cotto vs Pacquiao seems cmopetitive on paper as a matter of fact last time I checked pacquiao was the favorite wheras Marquez vs Mayweather is a mismatch on paper.

I think Cotto will beat Pacquiao and I think he would beat Mosely AGAIN aswell , I dont see why people think Cotto is an easier fight than Mosely ? I know Cotto had a close fight with Clottey but I think the cut had alot to do with that and I think Clottey is underrated I would like to see Mosely vs Clottey.

Cuz in this case cotto is not the favorite and didn't get things his way, not to mention
    35/65 split

1 - because pac has fought at 147 before, and just utterly demolished the champion at 140?

2 - because cotto has fought everyone there is to fight just about at his weight class already, the only thing left now is berto, mayweather, and rematches.... williams too if you want to count him as a welter.

    not even comparable imo

As far as the topic goes, Pacquiao is a serious threat to Cotto and he's favored to beat him. Marquez isn't a threat and he's a sizable underdog to Mayweather. That's why people aren't criticising Cotto - he's facing a threat.[/quote]

Do you think Marquez would not be a serious threat to Cotto ? Look I am not biased towards any of the four Boxers mentioned I think all four are awesome fighters but IMO if Mayweather is the same fighter he was before he retired he beats the other three ( less entertaining to watch but the better Boxer )

As far as the weight issue goes Marquez is a Big Boy he has been around a while he knows what he is doing ?

You make no sense, has pac never been hurt? Has Mosley never been hurt? Have they not bled? Have they not lost before? You fail to make any type of point.

You fail to defend your opinion lol, you say he's more vulnerable than Mosley, yet Cotto beat mosley. Then you talk about because he bleeds, fades, and what not..... what fighter doesn't....?

As I said earlier I pick Cotto and Mayweather to win but I dont think there is alot in it and I think Pacquiao and Marquez are definatley capable of pulling it off. When Pacquiao battered De La Hoya I thought De La Hoya drained his weight wrong then he signed up to fight Hatton and I am not that big a fan of Hatton but I thought Hatton would be way too powerful for him then Pcquiao battered him , since then I dont really look at fighters moving up a couple of divisions as that much of an issue ?

The question is will Mayweather be rusty ?

Man what should have happened was If Floyd was all that he should have gone straight to challenging Cotto (who would have taken the fight, Brother is a true worrior) or some other legitimate Walterweight ie Clottey or Mosley.

Then all this back and forth would not be happening.

PS. Cotto is going to kick the Sh*t out of Pacman!
