"There has been speculation the murder of Sydney businessman Michael McGurk may be linked to revelations of bribes involving state and federal Labor politicians he said he had on tape. The controversial businessman and father of four purportedly had a recording of a conversation capable of bringing down the NSW government and feared for his life. But it is unclear whether the tape, kept by Mr McGurk, has been handed to police investigators" I've been speaking to a Copper mate this arvo...and he tells me that the Cops definitely have the tape and some very highly ranked Labour Politicians are named.... including the Police Minister himself....Tony Kelly... Frank Sartor and Joe Tripodi. He also named a well known person he said would be responsible for his murder..... before he died.:admin The Govt will do everything possible to "BURY" this tape. It will be interesting to see how they go about it.
What amazes me is that the media call him a businessman.......... wrong! the blokes a crook and always been one.
It has been a long time since this group has been part of the labor party. they are a bunch of traitors to the working class that sold workers compensation rights to the insurance industry.
Mate i've worked in the insurance industry a long time and this statement is so wrong it's not funny.
i knew michael on a personal level, always smiling & a devoted family man, no one really knows what he was like as a businessman, we are all hearing info from people that for all we know could also be corrupt, he was also very generous & did a lot of charity work, this is a very professional hit, regardless of what you think of him from what your hearing from the reliable media, no one has the right to take someones life, not only his, but his sons life wich will be traumatised witnessing this.
If McGurk indeed had this info that could be damaging to all parties mentioned, it would be in their best interest to try and get his name smeared in the papers. A deadman cant sue the paper for defamation and when a paper like the telegraph gets that sort of freedom things are going to get ugly
Richo says a 'critical' part of the tape is completely inaudible. WTF? Why has Richardson heard the tape or been allowed near it? Secondly how does he know that the inaudible part is critical? A magnet can **** a tape up in a second. NSW corruption may have been wiped out at the beat copper level but **** me it still goes on with these big wigs.
Funny how high flying businessman or wheelers and dealers always seem to be affilated or connected with political parties or vice versa. :think Richo was implicated in the Offset Alpine company that burnt down in an apparent insurance job. Neville Wran got into doughboy pizzas after politics? who would have thought. :huh Rene Rivkin and Gordon Woods...Senator Richo's name again pops up. How many fraudsters or corrupt businessman donate to political parties?
According to an interveiw on TV last night, Richo says that McGurk met him in a restaurant & played the tape (Actually it was off a laptop) & apparently wanted $8 mil. for it. Richo then said half the stuff was inaudible & told McGirk to take it to a sound expert & get it cleaned up. Richo also says that (I think) when he never heard from him several days after, he reported it to the police. I think Labour supporters can thank the mug mafia for screwing their team. They did the same thing in Wollongong, which is now in the hands of Administrators.
Thanks for the clarification. I have just been reading In God's Name by David Yallop and getting blown away by the corruption in Italy but you know I think our pollies are just as corrupt but more discreet about it.
Maybe not totally. A Copper is one of the murder suspects....:adminHe was named by McGurk. And several names are mentioned on the tape.... I don't know what tape Richardson was listening too:roll:
I'll tell you what happens here. Council regulations have become another legal rort. These *******s sit in parliament, not working out how do things more economically, but how to raise more cash. It's ****ing outrageous that they have the right to tell you what to build your house out of. The reason they do it is because the more it costs you, the more they skim. (Levies) How's this. True story; Two blokes bought a property with a Development Approval for 6 units on 3 levels. They re-submitted it reducing it to 2 levels & 2 units (One each). Council said "No, it's high rise" They pointed out that the property beside them was a single level residence as were several in the street. They wouldn't accept that, & the reason was that the 2 level construction would have been cheaper to build & their skim would have been a lot less, & **** the poor ******* next door being cast in the shadows, they've got all they're going to get out of him so they don't care. 30 years ago, it was called extortion. There is so much skimming going on in the building industry it's just scandalous racketeering, of phonebook number$.
