That's true. It just seems like his nerves start getting to him and tensing him up too much in these longer fights. I'm sure you saw him work when he was in Houston before the Trials; I saw some of it too and the kid does have tons and tons of ability. Just needs to relax a bit more, maybe add some more stuff to his game.

Definetly Kolya, but so does Korobov, and indeed so does all pros at the early stage of their career, but i think Jacobs has that professional style that will suit him well the more he matures as a fighter

Yeah. He is younger; and I do like Danny a lot; I just don't think he's ever going to be as strong physically as Matvei is; and he did get sat on his ass hard by Korobov in that fight.

Thanks for the vids of Korobov, Kolya. Question for you: Was he on Friday Night Fights a few months back? There was a Russian or Ukrainian kid on FNF a few months ago (whose name I can't recall) that fought a lot like Korobov, he looked like a fantastic prospect. But I swore that the fight I saw on FNF was a 6-8 rounder and Korobov has only had 4-rounders so far. Plus I think that dude had more pro fights under his belt. Any idea who I'm talking about?

I do, and dammit, his name is slipping me but he looks kinda like Kostya Tszyu. In both fighting style and appearance. I forget his name, dammit.

Yes, we're definitely thinking of the same guy. I can't even remember what month it was or what his opponent's name was (although I remember what he looked like, too). So it's no use searching BoxRec.

So I just did a random "Friday Night Fights Results" search on Google... then randomly clicked the fourth or fifth link: http://www.examiner.com/x-4514-Houston-Boxing-Examiner~y2009m3d22-ESPNs-Friday-Night-Fights--Laredo-Texas

That's him. He hasn't fought since that fight, in March.
