Are you one of those fans who wanted this Floyd-JMM mismatch fight gets made?

I don't see anything wrong with it if it leads to Floyd fighting the pac, cottos and mosleys afterward.

It is his first fight back after a layoff after all. Would u rather Floyd fight JMM at 144 or someone like Collazo at 147? Cos Floyd could have easily taken a much more limited opponent for his first fight back. (Not that collazo is that bad but you know what i mean)

 

I would have preferred Floyd-Cotto, Mosley or Clotty in that order. As far as Juan Manuel Marques goes the fight everyone wants to see and it's so obvious I won't even mention the opponent!:think

 

I think that whether you like Mayweather or not, you want to see him fight. JMM is a great foe maybe not what many of us would hope for, but it is his first fight back and it is a lot better for a first fight back then anyone else would do.

 

I want to see Floyd vs...

1) Pac-MAn
2) Mosley
3) Cotto

You have a strange definition of "taken apart". I mean, I have no problem with people saying JMM won both or at least 1 fight, but still... taken apart? You make it sound like Pac was schooled, which is strange considering how much punishment JMM absorbed in both fights.

Just because JMM won majority of the rounds in their 2 fights doesn't mean Pac was taken apart, because a lot of those rounds he won were very close rounds, close enough for many other people to say that Pac won them.

 

Never wanted this, but now that it's reality there's no point sour-graping.

All I can do is hope for the best performance from both (and retain my small nugget of optimism that JMM can somehow come out on top).

I guess one way to rephrase this question is:

When rumors started that Floyd would make a comeback, was JMM in your list of possible opponents you wanted Floyd to fight?

Or was it more of a case of, "JMM wasn't in (or was far down) my list of potential opponents but I'm a Floyd fan so I will try to rationalize this match-up to the best of my ability".
