chavez was a great regardless of the amount of cans

The diffrence is Chavez and Sal never lost to a Boricua

 

morales - 2-1 against manny

barrera - 0-2 againts manny

marquez - got robbed both times and even roach knows it

Chavez wasnt with King in his first 10 fights

 

He had a lot of soft touches and keep-busy fights, but also fought a whole load of good fighters who were some of the top guys around 130-140 at the time.

I pay more attention to that, and his abilities in the ring, than the 89-0-1 and the cab drivers and whatnot.

He would be a great fighter even if he had the activity level of most fighters nowadays and finished with a record of 54-6-2 rather than double the wins.
