Last heard there were to be FTA televised Superboxer cards for Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec. Here we are a week into Sept and haven't heard anything recently. There are a number of cards already set around the country for Sept (none on a thursday night though). Is any of these existing cards going to be the televised card?
Promoters making a loss. Not enough funding...Ch 10 unfortunately wont pitch anymore. Its a tough game!
Yeah ratings would have been twice as good if it was on another day :huh Maybe they should try putting the next one on against the NRL grand final
Feedback was the ratings were beyond expectations. ONE seem to have thursday nights set aside for the fight demographic with UFC, and at present the KO Classic type boxing show that they are screening after it. Perhaps these shows are doing enough for them without the additional costs associated with putting on live shows? Would be a ******* if they've canned it already!
Once a month with some nice cards would have rated better. not that many good fights in a whole month of boxing. whatever happens though, it is crystal clear darryl beattie needs to continue as a boxing commentator - he's marvellous
I'm not sure if it will start again in the new year but it's finished for this year, so the mail says.
