Chris's supporters make claims that he has dedicated himself to losing weight, and currently weighs 224 pounds, and is in great shape. These claims are contradicted by a story published by The Ring magazine editors blog on September 2, 2009, where they speak of rumors that "the young slugger isn’t giving 100 percent in the gym and has skipped out on more than one training session during this camp". Another article from the sweetscience.com states that "Two barriers loom larger than the former Berlin Wall for this fight. First, Arreola has seemed heavier, not lighter, than in previous fights."

If VK is firing on all cylinders, as the Ring article said, and Arreola is being lazy, I think that we are going to see a beatdown of horrific proportions on the 26th.

Sounds like Arreola knows he has no chance and combined with his natural laziness; he's going to come in really fat and excuse his loss on 'not being prepared'. Next time out he will have his people say, "this time Arreola is in shape". It's the same crap that they pull with James Toney. Rinse and repeat.

Lets just hope that Arreola doesn't hit VITLAY in his glass arm, otherwise we'll have another 10 years of whining about how he was up on the cards when he bravely ran away and fled.

Even if its true that information shouldnt never be leaked out.

Arreola or Vitali's management could possibly sue since that info will sell less seats.

I don't get that. If I'm a big Klitschko fan and I'm deciding whether I want to see the fight live, this will definately have me forking over my money to see Vitali kill Christobel the Hutt

It don't belivee in rumors.. so we'll see what's what during the weigh in.

Although I'd like to tell you that Arreola's own cornerman did an interview with Ring magazine where he stated that Arreola was 285 lbs before he started training camp for the McCline fight. If he's in worse shape than that for the Vitali fight then consider him a walking dead man.

    lol Chileno's avatar

A lot of heavyweights when in against a heavily favoured champ seem to pile on the pounds like never before, almost like "I cant outbox or outlast this dude Im going to try and knock him out or at least shake him up instead", hope Arreola isnt going down that route becuase he has a chance to slow down Vitali to the body if he can hang with him for a while.

He can come in at 1 pound he's still not going to win this. This is another Peter/Vitali or Peter/Williams fight.
