Why Duran quit.

  1. Duran quit because he knew he was gonna lose plain and simple, he quit to avoid the embarrassment of being ko'd..

    No comparison here, Asero.

Rahman's win in the first fight was what most would call a fluke.
A lucky punch that caught the careless champion perfectly.

    Always a possibility with HWs.

The first Leonard/Duran fight was a full length battle where Duran closely (but clearly) prevailed.

And in the rematch, Lewis won every round up till the decisive KO.

In Duran/Leonard 2, the fight was pretty close. Leonard was clearly ahead, but Duran was in no danger of getting stopped.

He disgraced himself by quitting, for reasons we'll never know for certain.

But he subsequently redeemed himself in a the remainder of his great career.

Now this I don't agree with. He was nowhere near getting KO'd.

It wouldn't have mattered if Duran came in the best shape of his life, Leonard was coming to box. Duran didn't look out of shape, or fight out of shape. He was going to be facing a boxing Leonard, not a brawling Leonard in fight 1. Duran talked about Leonard's family to draw Leonard into his fight, and Leonard fell for it.

You posted this footage...being the sorry Cotto fan that you are...trying to give Duran an excuse:lol::lol::lol:. Duran has no excuse for why he lost the rematch. When you quit, you have no excuse. Duran made weight, and he got out boxed. We all know you and your posting history. I just hope that your sorry ass doesn't try to weasel us an excuse when Dapidran kicks Cotto's ass you @#!$@! hump!

After Pac beats the shite out of your hero, I'm going to roast you off of this goddamn forum lol... Drown you in your own imbecilic drool. You don't know anything about Duran-Leonard. Maybe if you weren't a dominant ******* in your history of posting, people would respect the fact that you brought this topic up instead of treating you like the phony that you are wiped ass breath...

I heard Duran say he had a belly full of steak and orange juice when the fight started. Then he got cramps and quit. I believe it.
