I dont see either Evans or Jackson who both somehow made your list coming close to taking Machida. Machida made Evans look like a nobody, Machida is incredible. And BTW Who the **** is Jon Jones, and who has he ever beat?

All fair comments about Mayweather, a bit extreme the comments about UFC, but what would you expect, as as individual promoter he is shut out of the opportunites to make money out of UFC so he will only ever deride and criticise the sport. Arum has never placed boxing's interests first, he places his interests first.

Cause he brought racial stereotype into the discussion. Skinheads is used as an insult to white people. It's ridiculous to suggest that fans or the fighters of MMA are skinheads. He insulted a diverse population as bunch racist supremests(even though skinheads are not necessarly that but in the context it is the only way to interpret it).

Him and Mayweather are like broken records of ignorance. MMA population is diverse and I think it's pretty clear that we welcome fighters from different backgrounds without bringing race to question.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but, as of right now, I'm yet to hear a high, mid or low level MMA fighter bring an "issue" of race in facing their opponents such that you see in boxing on quite consistent basis as of late. Hopkins, Mayweather comes to mind off the bat. Ignorant boxing fans, promoters keep pointing to MMA's white-people-sport/beerdrinker/skinhead population while not realize that they are the ones who keep bringing the race into this. Making a stereotype rule out of this is... I don't even know of a word low enough to use here.
You will see a lot more country pride in MMA than anything else. Seeing the mastery of martials art from different countries such Judo, BJJ, Sambo, Mui Thai, etc is quite fascinating. It has nothing to do with race at this point. It becomes BJJ vs Mui Thai or w/e combination you wanna call it.
I don't think even the cockiest mofos like A.Silva will ever say some **** like "I'll never get beat by a white fighter". It might be something like, I'll never get beat by a pure BJJ fighter or w/e the case maybe.
This has got to stop, really.

 

I think the UFC/Whiteboy argument used to hold SOME water but it's undboutedly a load of **** now. I wouldn't class 155, 170, 185 or 205 champs as whiteboys.

Ive always hated Arum. This just proves my point even more. The guy is losing his marbles yet he is still allowed to promote professional athletes like Pacquiao. He's going to ruin what could be one of the best careers in boxing!!!

 

As far as I'm concerned, Arum's expertise at arranging fights is only exceeded by his ability to define garbage. That mantle he shares with Don King, who is the super champ. They're head of the hood when it comes to garbage.

Having said that, this interview is a hallmark of the old & the new, & in some ways, quite refreshing, given the ****en politically correct rabble of thought police.
I watch UFC, & I agree with him to an extent. The two crowds (Boxing & UFC) are very different.
UFC is dirty street fighting sanitized by accepted submission holds & the occasional combination punching.
As for his "homosexual" comment, sometimes these matches on the ground become little more than a dog rooting a golf ball.
Funny how Arums language threw the young educated interviewer about "White skinheads".
"I'm not a white skinhead. I'm jewish". He looked white to me, & was only a lather & shave from being hairless.

I don't know how the MMA puritan likes his profession bundled up with kicking & punching an opponent while they are on the canvas but they ought to be aware that the promotional wing of UFC is designing their sport to attract all the facets of unarmed combat & they may rue the day they got onside when martial arts get swallowed up by "anything goes"

Bob Arum with his PPVs is one of the people responsible for the decline in the popularity of boxing in America.
Yet the ethnic peanut gallery are swinging from his nuts after this rant. Pretty amusing. I guess they like being ripped off.
Pretty much sums it up when the best fighter Mayweather struggles to sell out an arena. Compared to the situation in Europe where large stadiums get sold out.
