Tough fight...would have been easier to pick a winner at 172.5

 

I think Dawson's size and speed would be HELL for Kessler. Dawson by UD.

 

Tough pick. I think it would be a super close fight regardless of who wins. I think it comes down to how well Dawson handles Kessler's power. If he can't, i can see Kessler stopping Dawson. If he can, he's got a shot at a UD.

 

Kessler is my 3rd favourite fighter at the moment, but Dawson would beat him, id say 116-112

 

I think Dawson would TKO Kessler...Dawson is too strong and more versatile than Kessler.

 

Kess couldn't beat slapping Calz. Chad has better handspeed and actually punches with conviction. Kess wouldn't have a prayer against Dawson. He'd be whupped pillar to post and ktfo. The only thing that could possibly make a diff would be if Dawson had trouble cutting weight.

But, it would be a definite credit to Kess if he would face Chad at any weight (even in a loss). Joe just retired AFTER fighting two guys even OLDER than himself (it is evident he knew his own limitations - wise call, though certainly not a brave one - and there was no FW to lay the blame on either).

He's very lucky Calzaghe didnt hang around or we'd have seen just how overhyped Dawson is. Someone who gets beaten by Grandpa Johnson would be destroyed by the powerful Viking Warrior

Once again you show your lack boxing knowledge and can't break down a fight to save your ****ing life.:-( Kessler is too robotic and stiff to beat Dawson. Dawson would move around the ring with his superior movement firing shots from all angles with blinding handspeed and power that would cause Kessler to shell up and be frozen by it. He would do this all night long and Kessler wouldn't be able to get off only when Dawson allowed him to. Dawson would look like the general in the ring hitting Kessler with his jab and going to his body while throwing every punch in the book. BTW if anyone here is overrated it's Kessler whose claim to fame is a cool tattoo and getting his ass kicked by Calzaghe, Dawson's resume and talent shits all over his.:deal

 

Dawson by stoppage round 5. You mutha****ers are crazy if you think this fight would be close. Dawson made Adamek look amatuerish. Now he's going to lose to a guy who's best win his a close fight against Mundine.
