:dealthere alot of floyd haters here lol..i used to be one until i studied his fights and his opposition and come away impressed all the time...judge the man for what he does in the ring not outside of it or on camera to sell tickets...this man has punished all opposition put in front of him let it be by ko or decision they all come out being punished...saturday will be another punishing event similar to the way gatti got destroyed(rip)..we will here how floyd was bigger stronger faster...what we will not here is how he came from 2 years off and how marquez was the man who called him out not pac-man...give due respect to truly the most talented fighter of this era and pac would stand absolutely no chance against this man,i guarantee it...

Good stuff. PBF never gets the respect he deserves. The excuses for this fight started when the fight was announced. The haters won't give him his due when he beats JMM. Even if he beats Pac they'll say he wa too small they discredit every win he's ever had...pathetic really.

Everyone called him out he instead choose a lightweight 36 year old and made him jump two weight classes to fight him cherry-picking is not to be respected, he probably will take out Marquez because he's way to fast and big for him. Mayweather was fine till after Castillo II then he went and fought weak competetion for 6 years and now that he's got a name and money he's shamelessly taking the low risk high reward fights and not fighting anyone from his weight class its doubtful he ever will. Mayweather's worth his weight in gold as far as his boxing skills go but dont call yourself the best if you wont fight the best without having it all your way I dont even think the fight with Pacquaio will ever get made because hell want something ridiculous like 65/35 in his favor.

pac-man didnt call him out and cotto didnt either..im a cotto fan....in matter of here "Well here is what ‘May’ did. Remember, we are sticking to the facts. No conjecture. He countered Top Rank’s offer and told them he would fight Margarito in August for the $8 million. The only stipulation was after he beat Margarito, he wanted Top Rank to guarantee him $10 million for the Cotto fight that would surely follow. How’s that for ducking Cotto and Margarito? These are the facts. But there’s more. Top Rank was only willing to guarantee $7 million for a Cotto fight, not the $10 million request.

Okay readers, before I continue let’s do a little math. Cotto was Top Rank’s money fighter during this time. Agreed? I have my cyber helmet on now and I’ll put myself in Money May’s shoes for a minute. Why would I fight Antonio Margarito for $8 million and then come back and fight the money guy, THE MONEY guy Cotto for $1 million less? It doesn’t make sense. So I ask you once again. Put yourself in May’s shoes. What would YOU do?

Once Top Rank wouldn’t budge, ‘May’ wrote a check for $750,000 and told Top Rank that he no longer needed their services. He bought his contract out. Let me add that he also asked Top Rank to get him $20 million for a De La Hoya fight. Top Rank didn’t think there was $20 million for him to make on that fight. In a manner of speaking, they were correct. Money May went on to make $30 million for the De La Hoya fight and probably at least $20 million from the Hatton tussle. Not to mention $8 million (amount sound familiar?) for the fight with Carlos Baldomir. He will also receive eight figures for the Marquez fight. He sold himself as the bad guy and a few 24/7 episodes later it has paid off for him. So I ask you one last time… what would YOU do?

Nobody (credible) slags his skills; some may not care for his style and that's just a matter of personal preference. The big thing is his ******* demeanor combined with his fight selection since moving to 140. There's alot of unfinished business there for a guy running around talking about how great he is.

I'd just like to see him make the most of his skills.

I dont blame him for not fighting Margarito he waited it out and got a fight with Oscar who wouldn't do that I just hate on him a little bit for not fighting a threat at his weight class instead he goes and fights a lightweight could care less about his attitude.

Mayweather has fought some good competition, no doubt. He willl need to step it up before he retires in order to secure ATG status.

Usually no one at the top gets the full respect they deserve.. Just look at PAC. All he's done over the last 5 yrs and he still isn't getting respect by the masses. He gets more than Floyd but that is only b/c of the resumes and their character. Floyd likes to play the villian, PAC likes to play the hero. But both deserve respect for what they do and how they do it in this sport. PAC will and has been discredited for beating anyone as Floyd has for the most part. It is pathetic but it comes with being the top dog in your field.

True. Beating Marquez, Pacman, and 1 or 2 other top dogs should make it. One thing bugs me though, people make a big story about Marquez callin him out, so that would give Floyd a pass for fightin a smaller guy ? But I'm sure Money could easily make the 140 pound limit so why not fight JMM at that weight I know it's only a 4 pound difference which is not that much but it's still givin Floyd an edge that he doesn't need if he's THAT great
