And his service in trying to act like he was nice to Floyd is BS. Maybe he is in comparison to the rest of the fighters out there, maybe not. It doesn't matter... Floyd had all the right to be upset at Max especially knowing Floyd. Not a big Floyd fan here, however, Max should've stopped harping on the size issue. Marquez being small, not a natural true WW... yadda yadda yadda. At this point we know but you have to bring up to the man 10 times after Floyd's praising him. Simple questions to the man. A mega fight with either Mosley would be incredibly appealing or perhaps a fight between the winner of the Pac/Cotto fight. Is this something you think could happen for your next fight Floyd? If only Max had half a brain he would've realized that he was going to **** Floyd off be keep bringing up the obvious. Ask him about Mosley, or the winner between the Pac/Cotto showdown. Floyd was brilliant in this fight. Completely overmatched Marquez which wasn't too surprising but his domination was a bit impressive. Stylistically, added with the fact that Floyd's just a bigger, faster, more skilled version for JMM it didn't fit and he couldn't do much. He tried though. Last note, did anyone feel the Shane vs Floyd bit felt a bit fake or something? Seemed a little WWE like. Regardless, I loved it. We need to pressure Floyd for these big type of fights. I was just ready for Triple H to explode. Weird seeing Floyd's father completely calm during the rumble. B-Hop and Shane all on Floyd was hilarious! HE JUST WANTS A FIGHT... DON'T BE DISRESPECTED ME IN MY INTERVIEW. THIS MY TIME.
If someone wasnt going to start a thread on this i was going to. He made a complete ass of himself AGAIN on live air. The look on his face after floyd said he talked to much was PRICELESS. I would have let him get away with his terrible interview if he wouldnt of come back to whine.
Max should have allowed the two to jaw back and forth. It was the most compelling moment of the night which had the room full of casual fans that I watched the fight with on the edge of their seats; and Max stole the moment away from the viewers. :-( It was indeed WWEish but was none the less entertaining and sets the stage for perhaps the biggest challenge in Mayweather's career.
Sack him, we wanted an interview with Mayweather, we got Kellerman who knows F' All about boxing talking bull**** BTW Pete, yes I think Mosley was sort of begging for a payday, he isnt going to win although he'll give it a crack and he was more than happy to turn the fight down in '01 and '06
If you ask me the interview was great until Mayweather felt disrespected by Mosleys interruption...Mayweather had no intentions on weighing 144 thats why he was ducking the question....what I didnt like was Max ending the interview when Floyd still wanted to talk..Max needs to let go of his ego and finish the interview like a professional....I like his agressive style of interview but he still has a bit to learn, but trust me he will get better
My god... He thought he was being offended by the fighters because of the way they were talking (maybe but have some ****ing sense) He put himself above everybody, including the fans. He ruined it.
First of all well done mayweather, a boxing clinic. Secondly Max just ruined what could have been the best piece of drama to happen on live ppv. When Floyd was getting mad at Mosley for disrespecting him, floyd wanted to address mosley one to one with the mic. Instead this **** interview says "not now Mosley" what the **** u mean not now? When Mayweather try tell Max to shut up and pass me the mic the crowd cheered and kellerman caught feelings and ended the interview. What a ****ing jack ass. I hope he gets fired.
True, on top of Max cutting of Floyd cause his little ego was hurt. You make a true point, one that nobody on HBO seemed to mention. However, still a good fight. Personally, I'd rather see Floyd fight the winner of the Pac vs Cotto fight. If he chooses Mosley instead, he's just avoiding the next best potential fight. If he fights Mosley and re-retires than he's pulling a duck job. We shall see...
Agree Kellerman ****ed up that interview big time. Also the first thing I thought when the Floyd-Shane thing kicked off was that seemed so fake. I see a Mayweather-Mosley fight in the foreseeable future, I just hope its not at the expense of a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.
