I rooted with all my heart and soul for Marquez tonight, and I will say with all my heart and soul of JMM, thankyou.

He did'nt win tonight, and its the first time in his career I can say he got beat.

.....but you know, I was'nt asking of JMM for victory.
At the end of the night, as a fan, all I can ask is for any fighter to do their best and to fight to win!

Let me tell you that even in defeat, how proud I was of Marquez overmatched in every catergory, size, quickness, speed, and strenghth......
Marquez was overmatched in every major category and all he did was keep fighting every bit of the way, looking and searching for any little creece he could take advantage of........

There was a point late in the fight where the HBO broadcast team said something to the effect that Marquez would do well just to survive to the finish.....to wish I with a laugh and very loud in the room I watched the fight in exclaimed, "survive to the finish?? Who do you *******s think JMM is, MAB???"

I dont have to tell you that during those last few rounds, JMM pressed the fight and fought his heart out.
He took chances even when it meant he'd get hit clean and hard by Mayweather.

Was it the 10th or 11th, JMM got hit flush and very hard by a Mayweather right hand, that just about any other fighter would have gone on down or in retreat looking for the finish line........

JMM fought every step of the way to win, never survived.....and for that I say thankyou JMM for leaving it all in the ring, where it should be left.
Thankyou for giving 100% every step of the way and for always giving it everything.

This proud JMM fan tonight stands tall and proud of JMM, and so does all of Mexico!

Que viva Juan Manuel Marquez el Gran Campeon Mexicano!

Marquez is great. Mayweather had every advantage. Bigger, stronger, faster, younger. Even will all that Mayweather gave a big middle finger refusing to even make the agreed upon weight. And marquez fought like a champ. That's when you see the truth about a fighter. when he knows he is losing but keeps trying though the end

I never thought Marquez had much of a chance. It was just too much from the start. I enjoyed watching him train with such heart on 24/7, that was my favorite part of the show. When Mayweather pulled the **** at weigh in I knew there was no chance. However, Marquez did Mexicans proud. He looked so small in there but he kept his ground, was the aggressor against the bigger man, and at times caught Mayweather with some good shots. Landslide victory for Mayweather, up there with his one side victory over shot to hell Gatti, old Genaro Hernandez, tactless Hatton, and old and semi-retired flat footed Hoya.
