i told everyone larry asks the better questions and lets the fighters talk .... why the **** they have him there? you have manny stewart ok.. but if it's not larry it needs to be roy jones up there talking to fighter max don't know **** about boxing .. people dont want to see him talk they wanted to see floyd talk HE JUST COST EVERYONE one of the best post fight interviews of all time
I love Larry Merchant my he is my favorite announcer always has been Kellerman is still learning the game so i cut him a little slack but overrall i think HBO should have Larry back in the big fights.
that guy is a idiot if he WAS A TRUE FAN of the sport he would have enjoyed the entertainment of seeing them argue ...... he is a dick head
he is WAYYYYYY better than max he is fun to watch he gets under the fighters skin and he lets the guys talk i love how he tried to get a catch fight between roy and hopkins remmber that? he is a TRUE fan of the sport
I used to like Max Kellerman in "Around the Horn" on ESPN, but that's about the end of my liking him. He seems to know a few things, but the way he talks you cannot tell if he's coached to say those things or if he's a real fan. He seems insincere. Hell Lennox Lewis is a better commentator than Max Kellerman, if for no other reason than that Lennox is speaking from experience and passion for the sport and you can't really tell if Max really even gives two shits.
Max constantly looks like he has a broom handle up his ass. I have to be honest I dont rate the guy, the fighters dont respect him, they need to find someone else if Larry is retiring
Too bad that this wasn't a big fight, just an overhyped espn fight. I feel sorry for the people that paid to watch that.
Max should just learn to stfu when boxers are talking.. They were going at it and he pulls the mic away so he can ask a question. Idiot. And then told Shane to be quiet. Why put him on the mic then. He also looked wounded when Mayweather sonned him.
Kellerman is - hands down - the worst commentator I've ever seen in 30 years of following the sport. He's totally unqualified - unlike any commentator you could name, he never worked as a boxing journalist or participant. He got handed the ESPN job after having done NOTHING because of CONNECTIONS! And it SHOWS! The best comment I ever read on Merchant being replaced by Kellerman came from a boxing journalist who said that it was "like replacing Picasso with the guy who does Elvis paintings outside Graceland."
