It's a good match-up for Marquez. Katsidis would be a live under-dog. What would his chances be with Nate Campbell or Bradley at 140?

I see no reason for JMM to fight a club fighter like Katsidis, especially when he beat the man who KO Katsidis out of the ring. There is no challenge for JMM at 135. He beat all the elite fighters. He looked like he took punches better at 147 than he did at 135. I mean Juan was constantly stunning JMM and everyone knows Juan has no power at all, Mayweather was landing cleanly and hardly stunned Marquez at all to the extent he was getting buzzed by Diaz.

He should stay right at lightweight. A fight with Katsidis is a win for Marquez (pending he's not shot or disenchanted after the PBF match). ALSO, it's a win for the fans. This would be a great slugfest if and only if both men bring their A-game.

I actually think it may be bad for JMM. We saw what Diaz was able to do for a while. Katsidis is just rough, and not a fun guy to face. Plus the first 8 or so rounds last night Katsidis D looked much improved. He got wreckless at the end though. Regardless Katsidis may be to strong and too rough for JMM at this point in his career. He's been through a lot of wars, and Katsidis unlike Diaz doesnt get frustrated with cuts. I think Katsidis takes this one at this point in JMM's career.

I wouldn't call Katsidis a club fighter, he nearly won the fight with Casamayor before he blind rushed and got KO'ed. You're right that there's not much left for JMM at 135 though. He'd be better served to go 140 and stay there.

Are you kidding? JMM took Diaz punches much better than Mayweathers. Every time Mayweather landed cleanly, he staggered Marquez, while JMM's punches barely made Mayweather flinch.

135 or 140, 140 has a bit too many young guns though. If he can get Hatton at 140 I'd like to see that 1, otherwise get back to 135, but he doesnt want to be drained at 135. He should completely dominate Katsidis who isnt in his league

I guess will have to agree to disagree. I think he handled punches better with the extra weight. I want to see him vs. Bradley at 140 though.

I'd like to see the fight with Katsidis and take it from there. I don't feel like he could dominate 140 in the same way he has 135 and would prefer solidifying that rather than going up and maybe taking just a piece of 140.

I'd love to see him fight the Bradley-Peterson winner. That would be a good fight with (assuming Bradley wins) a young volume puncher with great recovery abilities vs the older, but sharper, counterpuncher.
