Im a big Floyd fan, and that was a good performance, but that fight did not prove anything except he has no rust, and he is a natural talent, He needs to take on Shane to keep himself honest. The incident in the ring last night was out of Shane's character, but the man is desperate, he needs a fight soon. Floyd if you hear this, as a fan of yours, u need to take on the true top WW's now, this is your time to prove your legacy right now you are a really good fighter with unbeliveable talent, to be classified as great you need to take on the greats right now. The ball is in your court Floyd, play hard or go home.

Well said:good. I think he will kick on from here, picking off each challenge one by one. I'd love if he took on Mosley in Jan/Feb and Cotto - Pac winner next Summer. Although that's alot of activity for Floyd.

Problem is except for Pac and possibly Mosley. Who else are the greats.

Cotto isnt yet a great and neither is Williams.

Marg isnt great and is tainted.

The point is if he beats winner of Pac/Cotto and Mosley is that enough for him to attain this mythical ATG status. Or after the fact, when history looks back will these just be considered good fighters.

There are no Hagler/Hearns/Leonards/Durans in this era to fight

PBF-SSM is long overdue. Before SSM gets any older, the fight needs to happen. After or in lieu of the Berto fight in January, they gotta fight.

So because of a spectacle made by Shane Mayweather has to fight him?! He did the same with Manny and he was "desperate" now with Floyd(who he has dismissed in the past) he is "deserving". I want the fight but I have no trepidation with Floyd choosing the Cotto/Pac winner over Shane.

That is why he should fight Mosley and Pac in 2010. I think he should take on Mosley first and if he beats him and wins the titles, then he should take on Pac and if he beats Pac he can retire as an ATG or take on Williams in 2011.

At this point he has 3 big fights that we all want to see before he retires, Mosley, Pacman and Williams. We the fans all agree on this.

    Id rather see it accordingly:

Shane- That " he ducked PBF before" is out of the window now, null and void. He proved he can still hang with the young guns. If Pbf doesnt fight him next, he will be remembered as the one who ducked Shane. Shane vs PBF will be a blockbuster. Boxing needs it.

Pac- Getting used to 140lbs and should be ready to face PBF, if he gets pass Miguel. Not saying being a lefty he will have better chances against Lil, but its not just the left hand, he also possess the speed, awkwardness, power and stamina to make it atleast exciting.

PW- This gives PW more time to build on his resume enroute to a PBF showdown. I suggest he fight at 147lbs more often to establish himself as a contender within the division where PBF is residing.
