Hopkins is 4 divisions higher than Mayweather but Mayweather was only 2 higher than Marquez and started out at just one division higher than what Marquez started his career at..... not to mention between lightweight which is where Marquez is now a natural and Welterweight there's only a 12 pound weight difference but between welterweight and light heavyweight where Hopkins is there's a 28 pound difference so yeah Hopkins would be wayyyy bigger than marquez....also between Marquez and Mayweather there's only a one inch height advantage where Hopkins would have nearly 4 inches on Mayweather. Mayweather vs De la Hoya was as much of a size diff as Mayweather vs Marquez.

How is Mosley too old when hes going around knocking everyone out? He's not too old. Pacman is not too old either, hes good enough that if he fights Mayweather it will be a true test. He seems to have settled in at this weight unlike Marquez, but I'd still rather see Mayweather take on Mosley and then Pacman.

yeah, but the problem was JMM lost power and speed when he bulked up to gain leverage. Heck, PBF was smiling at his punches?! Now tell me size has nothing to do with it:patsch

Hes 38 thats why? Is this hard to understand? Mayorga had him reeling til rd 12. Margo was a perfect style matchup for Shane a brawler who has slow hands

Dead on true. I couldn't have said it better. The only way Mayweather will fight someone like Shane will be 2-3 years down the road once he is completely sure that he is shot (not that SSM isn't seriously degraded from his prime time as is).

He wasnt 142 come fight night though. He was 148. Clearly well above anything he has ever been or gone near in the Ring.

All his fights at 135 so far he has maybe been 140 come fight night. Thats 8 pounds.

what did he weigh in at??? That is what im talking about. I cant believe that people are this numb....Do you honestly think that JMM was 140 when he fought Diaz??? I would have to check but I bet he was in that 140 to 144 range at fight time, if he put on 6 pounds for his fight with Floyd its reasonable to assume that he did so in his fight with Diaz as well. if that is the case which Im sure it is, it wouldnt have made that great of a difference...Another thing that people are missing, is why is JMM all of a sudden moving up in weight so much??? could it have to do with the fact that as we get older its harder to cut the weight. I have my doubts that JMM would make 130 and may have a hard time making 135. Time will tell, if Jmm keeps fighting at 140 or even 147 then we will know that he isnt the mini fighter that the Floyd haters are now tring to make him out to be.
