Absolutely. JMM was chosen as a tune-up, and was forced to fight someone 12 pounds above his natural fighting weight.

No, he is setting himself up to make even more money if he fights Pacquiao. If he fights Mosley next, Pac has no where else to go for a mega-fight also. You think Pac's "advisors" are smart?

Well, then you'll have to say Pacquiao is a cherry pick too if that fight happens because Floyd has gotten bigger since 21 months ago.

Mayweather is often penalized for his ability to win fights, he's often penalized for coming across as arrogant during the build-up, he's often times penalized for being a black American, more often times he's penalized for not daring to be great. Maybe even some don't approve of his defensive style. It's all true in some form or another, but Floyd Mayweather and his fans can take comfort in knowing that he wasn't the first fighter to be criticized for a variety of reasons and he sure won't be the last. That's the world we live in .

I don't think so, Jeff, and I've been very consistent with my views on this.

Pacquiao is a freak who was able to maintain his speed and power as he moved well beyond his natural weight. He is an exception.

Ever since I first heard this fight was announced, I never thought JMM would come close to making the weight adjustment the way Pacquiao so brilliantly has.

I will give Floyd credit if he fights Pac (assuming Pac beats Cotto).

But I will give him even more credit if he fought and beat Mosley.

JMM had to come up. Oscar had to come down to a weight he had not been at in years. Is that crooked too? You can't have it both ways.

Manny got major balls, no dobut about that, but I have an issue with people like Steward consistently giving the impressions that Manny is willing to fight any and everyone while Mayweather is not. I give both fighters all of the credit in the world, but they are both businessmen in a since.

Factoring risks and reward, fighting DLH at 147 was smarter than fighting JMM a third time at 135. First, fighting DLH would bring him much more money than he could've made fighting Marquez. Second, a loss to DLH would hardly affect his legacy or marketability as everyone believed it was such a mismatch to begin with. In that regards Manny had a lot to gain and hardly nothing to lose.

Fighing Hatton was a little riskier, but still it brought more rewards than a third fight with Marquez while also carrying less risks. If Pac lost, he would've been given a little leway since he was fighting someone considered the best at 140. Yet, style-wise Hatton still presented a lesser challenge than Marquez.

Now Manny is fighting Cotto, which is a decision that no one can knock. However, it wasn't until Manny believed that he saw some vulnerability in Cotto that he challenged him. Manny believes that Cotto is not the same fighter he was two years ago, he sees some weakenesses. Now this is a fight I believe Manny losses, but again even if he losses, there will not be any "well Manny got exposed" critics coming out of the wood-work.

Manny gets all props from me, but I know that he is making business decisions as well. It's a reason why he continues to fight bigger, more profittable stars than fight a tough challenge in his own weight class. He gets more praise from beating the bigger guy, while he won't damage his legacy by losing to them.

Pacquiao didn't move up and fight Floyd.

He fought Oscar and Hatton. Huge difference.

Floyd and his team think PAC, Cotto, Mosley won't fight Floyd at 146 lbs.?? :D:lol::rofl

PAC, Cotto and Mosley can readily fight Floyd at 146... and if Floyd request other weight than 146 either lower or higher, he has to pay money...:D:lol::rofl

It's considered cherrypicking when he's got fighters in HIS DIVISION calling him out.

If Klitschko called out Pac, the #1 P4P fighter in the world, you wouldn't consider that cherrypicking because he's #1?

Okay, I'll grant you that, but the point I was trying to make is, Manny has proven he moved up with speed and power still intact.

    JMM looked slow and weak.

Regardless of the opponent, I think this was pretty obvious.

Don't forget, I was one of those people who gave Pac NO CHANCE against DLH. I was obviously dead wrong.

But Pac carried his speed and power much more naturally. JMM looked old, soft, and slow.

And as I recently said, I thought JMM really started to show his age with Diaz, despite scoring the super impressive victory.

The fight between Floyd and JMM went down more or less exactly as I envisioned it (except that JMM did make it to the final bell--I figured Floyd would have hurt him bad enough that his corner would stop it, but he never inflicted the type of damage I anticipated).

You are not stating the whole facts here. Floyd is a night owl and hence he is really awake during night time. He is asleep on day time.
