I understand man but if that was Larry Merchant that wouldn't have been a problem ... it seems like even though Merchant is very critical, fighters seem to always answer his question.

Good point, maybe Max shouldn't have addressed the controversay but that is no different than Merchant asking Mayweather why he zapped the drama out of the fight with DLH ...

On the flip side, I wonder if Lampley should conduct the interviews ... he seemed a bit better at it than Merchant and Kellerman ... and he seemed a bit more respectful when interviewing Marquez.

 

Damn I didn't know you had a show ... I'm going to press you with some questions on up and coming events ... its nice to see a person who has the same passion and knowledge of the sport. I might come off as bias (when it comes to Floyd) but when it comes down to it I know my **** pretty well - outside of predictions, i've called fights how they were in the past.

What do you think about Williams and Pavlik?

Mayweather vs Mosley? I hope you push for that fight to happen, based on what i've seen Saturday ... i'm seriously in doubt that Pac can make a good fight out of that ... I can see him getting outclassed ... but Mosley is bigger, just as fast, and just as accomplished as Pac - not to make it racial but you don't see too many elite blk fighters going against each other. Based on the second fight between DLH and Mosley will give you some insight on how the fight will go ... but I think based on the situation that Shane is in ... he will take more risks against Mayweather than he did with Oscar.

 

Very good analysis...i would respectively disagree with one thing...i believe the weight was more of a factor in Marquez getting dominated the way he did. Marquez was not a threat as far as punching power is concerned and his loss of hand speed was substantial. It's obvious he loss two major components in his arsenal moving up in weight. It allowed Floyd to punch at will, without the any worry whats so ever of being hurt. Marquez in his natural weight would have faster hands and much more power and would not have been dominated in that fashion. I'm not saying Marquez would've won, but it would've been much more competitive. I know you don't want to sound bias because Marquez is Mexican...but I don't give Floyd the same credit you do...Floyd is a great fighter but he dominate an older, fatter, slower, weaker vesion of Marquez.
