enjoyed pbf's performance - he's still the most talented fighter out there today.

i think this fight was always going to be a warm up for the winner of cotto-pac. either of these guys will provide the biggest available pay deal for floyd, and we know that will motivate him more than a possibly tougher fight against mosley.

jmm to return to lightweight if he can.

Pac is an utter **** at the negotiating table too

In fact Floyd probably isn't that tough a negotiator, Oscar worked him over before they fought if I rememer rightly, Floyd is one of those guys who talks 'money' and 'business' and all this **** but will be bankrupt in ten years time

This is why I prefer doing threads like this on the Brit forum as opposed to the general. Some good comments, fellas. Thanks, I was just interested if everyone was thinking along the same lines:good.

I went on to the general forum first to make a post about how well PBF performed on the night and then quickly realised my mistake and came back here. Those guys are nuts.

Theres absoulutely nothing you can say about floyd on general without being shot down. I've never seen a boxer who creates such extreme hugging and hating.

Pacquiao comes close and Miguel Cotto gets an honourable third place. Nature of the beast I am afraid, I am just glad there are some down to Earth people in this forum and not a lot of idiots to dilute the intelligent posters messages.

Mayweather vs Mosely - I just want to see SSM getting one last great fight.

Marquez - Retirement. He has done everything that he possibly could with his career and the thing that has kept him motivated for the last 5 years, a win over Pacquaio, is never going to happen.

    The general is scary!

"Ivan Calderon v Vitali Klitschko, who wins and why?"
    "LOL Froch will be EXPOSED!!!"
    "Gayweather IS a *****"
    "Fraud Mayweather DUCKING Mosley"
    "David Haye is all mouth"
    "September GLASS JAW rankings"

There is some good stuff, but its hard to find!

I enjoyed seeing Floyd again, was gutted when he went but kind of always knew he'd be back. He showed his genius again and you just have to sit and watch in awe at what he does. He is incredible. Same names for me, Mosley, Cotto, Pac etc. Mosley will be "finished" once he beats him though, Pac "to small" and Cotto "done". The bottom line is he's just to good for them all. Paul Williams would be very very interesting but cant see that one ever happening.

Theres plenty for JMM to still do, a few decent potential fights out there from 135-140, maybe Diaz again? Guzman, Khan? Nate, Bradley, Katsidis, wouldnt surprise me to see him v Hatton though I dont have much interest in it. JMM is still a great and I hope that isnt forgotten just because of saturday night. I just hope he's alright after it, Jim Watt mentioned about 100 times how "it wasnt a brutal fight so he'll be fine" but im not sure, he might be ok physically but mentally a one sided 12 rounder cant be good.

I can honestly see this happening--City of Manchester, last hurrah--, and I would go just to see JMM

Great performance from Floyd, absolutely punch perfect. Now he only has two options IMO, Mosely or the winner of Cotto-Pac. I'd love to see either of those fights though I think the Mosely one should be made first for around February, March.

Marquez still has few fights left and has a lot of options. If he goes back to LW he's got Katsidis, Valero and the winner of Guzman-Funeka.

He can also go upto 140 and attempt to be the first Mexican to win world titles in 4 weight classes. I'd like a Bradley fight though maybe he could fight Hatton first in a 'tune-up' at the weight (;)).

Of course many cynics would see at JMM-Hatton fight as a matchup between Floyds and Pac's leftovers but it's still a solid fight IMO.

That does seem to be the general trend. Plus any thread with a decent name has and possibly a reasonable opening post always has some agenda involved with it.

Floyd reminded us why he was P4P No.1 when he retired his speed, timing, accuracy, footwork, jab, defence and power, were all outstanding after nearly two years out of the ring. I have never seen JMM outclassed like that, the fact the size was a major factor is the only reason which took some of the shine away from the win.

JMM can drop down to 135 where I feel he would do is best work, but now after this defeat and a good payday and with his age at 35 maybe JMM has not got many fights left in him.

Floyd on the other hand should fight Mosely or the winner of Manny and Cotto other fights would be point less for him right now because people want him fight guys his own size or freak man Pacman where size does not count ask ODH and Hatton.
