If you could find a flaw from Floyd's performance what was it?

For me its that PBF's arsenal is very limited.

Hes only shows 3 moves, the jab, the left hook and the sharp right, they are all great weapons no doubt but lack variety, combinations were very rare. Reminds me of Sagot from Street fighter II, the dude constantly throws tiger fireballs, tiger uppercuts and kicks, you have to close in the distance but not by jumping or else get yo ass gets uppercutted to the stratosphere but once your inside he's there for the taking.

Maybe this was how Hatton was able to win some rounds against Floyd, Hatton would take the first punch from Floyd and try to stay inside for as long as possible. To beat Floyd you cannot give him distance or else he has access to all 3 of his best weapons.

    Anyone else see a flaw?

Floyds only flaw are his brittle hands. If he didnt have chronic hand problems Marquez was KO'd for for sure. Marquez put up a valiant effort but speed size and skill wern't on his side that night.

You actually think FMJs arsenal is limited & that when inside he`s there for the taking ?

I dont agree with either, he is the most complete fighter in the sport, the p4p no1 IMO.

Hardly calling it flaws but I see room for improvement.

He lunges in with the left hook. He can get away with it because of his speed.

The lack of combo's, with which I believe he could have had way more KO's/

But the man is a rarely talented fighter and I'm most impressed by his concentration and the hyperfocus he has on his opponent. He never looks away. Great fighter, joy to watch his skills. I would like for him to test himself against a bigger opponent though and trying to let his hands go more.

When is the last time you saw Floyd throw a 3 punch combination or more?

I would have liked to see him throw combinations instead of 1 or 2 punches at the time..

The only flaw is that Floyd had the ability to finish JMM and he didnt. I have no doubt that if he pushed a little harder he could have knocked JMM out. Wasnt it Floyd that said on 24/7 "If i get you down im going to finish you"?

Other then that, masterful performance and executed everything to near perfection.

When he finished Hatton probably, he wont commit to combinations unless he has a man in some kind of trouble, thats why he rarely gets tagged cleanly, he thinks defence first.

He is so fast & accurate that he can afford to throw single shots & rack up points as well as do damage, thats why he`s the best p4p fighter in the world, no-one else can do what he does, they dont have the ability.

His lack of combination punching, but he's defensive minded first and foremost, throwing 1-2's let's him get ready for a counter... if he stayed in the pocket tossing 3 or 4, he's open to counters.

he has this laid back defensive style, but imo it will be hard to exploit cause of his quickness and reflexes.

he is still very hard to beat imo

i believe he can do it, but does not want to commit, thats why fans find his style boring.

Most seem to disagree for whatever reason, but I agree with you. I noticed too that he won the fight using 4 punches: the jab, left hook, straight left to the body, and the straight right.
To answer your question: I didn't see a flaw though.

DLH was right, Mayweather is succeptible to combinations. We never got to see Marquez flick out his jab so that question is unanswered. But we did see Marquez land some great straight right hands on Floyd. That was the most important observation I made.
